If someone wants to lose weight, the best way is to avoid all manner of carbs; not just the sweet stuff. Most starchy foods are darn near metabolically equivalent to sugar.

Meat, potato's, GRAVY, rice and breads are things I just can not give up. I've given up a lot of bad stuff in my life but there is a line, ain't gonna happen and don't try to take them from me, it wouldn't end well for you....

I lost 100 pounds on ATkins, so it works, but it is not a sustainable lifestyle for me.

I think no matter what you do it is a simple equation, burn more calories than you consume. Not matter how many fads I have tried, it all seems to come back to that.

Exactly, as I got older and slowed down I started putting on the pounds quickly, I just can't eat like I'm a teen anymore. Most days now I only eat one meal a day, then a late night snack. I don't eat breakfast or lunch, never have been a breakfast person anyways. Just cutting out the junk food, chips, cookies, puddings, ice cream and such was the biggest help for me, second was put less on my plate (I use smaller plates now) and as I said before, I don't need to eat everything on the plate.

That's true to some extent, but...

The last thing I did a lot of research on was ashwagandha
Ash is good. I'm a big fan of nigella sativa aka black seed oil as well. Check out meridian botanicals. They have a lot of great stuff and their blends are great. The owner is super knowledgeable and very friendly so if you have questions or need a recommendation for something specific send him an email.

Their moonlit slumber is awesome for sleep. Their chocolate blends are really good too but can't remember the name at the moment. Rainforest rootbeer is nice too.

Sitting down, facing forward.
That video from Rossum got it right. I managed to lose over 100 pounds simply by adjusting what I eat and I did add a little exercise as well. I had to change doctors because I moved. At the first visit, when he walked into the exam room, the first thing he said was "you're obese". Then he told me I was diabetic. This was back in 2000 and I weighed about 270 at the time. I'm 6'1" so I liked to think I was just kind of "big" overall.

Bottom line was I started monitoring my glucose and found out what foods made it spike. That, of course, turned out to be carbohydrates. I also adjusted the ratio of fat, protein and carbs in my diet, lowering the carbs and raising the protein, primarily, and fat. It's, basically, impossible to eliminated carbohydrates from the diet completely, but it is easy to limit them and to find ones that are not metabolized rapidly which spikes the glucose level. We've all experienced the "sugar rush" and "sugar drop" syndrome from eating some foods while others don't do that. The trick is to find the ones that don't do that. It keeps your glucose level far more constant.

So now I eat carbs with lower impact on the glucose level and control how much I eat. Yeah, it's a PITA at times, but well worth the effort. That's the only thing that wasn't mentioned in that video, the absorption rate of various carbs. Everybody and every body is different, it's just a question of finding your own balance point. I've managed to maintain my weight and count myself very lucky, no more diabetes either.

Imbalanced Battery on ERM+ #015...

Opened it up and wow...how'd that much juice get in there?!?! Maybe I'll finally take the time to swap in the DNA250 board! :D Thankfully, I've got all the connectors I need for the new battery - is anyone else weird about reusing XT30s?

Mike, One day (NO rush!) can you please post a pic or two showing how thin your tails are and how they look in the well on these Merlin's? I'm just no able to dial in the rayon in these, I'm just not getting the flavor I should, it's not lite, it's off and not in a good way. Other then that, zero leaks, coil stays saturated and more vapor then I thought I'd get from a single coil, just the off flavor. Thanks! :)
