Nice. Pics or it didn't happen

It would be nice if. E-Scribe. Had an option in the battery. Tab for more than just an 18650 ☹️

Ugh.... your not going to make me show my butchered milling job are you, not proud of it. I clamped a piece of angle iron to the table and used it as a guide, lowered the mill bit and feed it by hand, red neck milling but it got the job done. Wish I had a better drill press and a cross slide vice, a good cross slide vice. Oh OK, I'll get some pics, but I'm not going to highlight the chatter marks..... Not that it matters, it's working good and it was a beater mod anyways.

Here's a pic of the hana with the 21700, in the background you can see where I chopped the very end off the battery sled for the positive connector, I hot glued it in place. There wasn't enough room to do the same for the ground connector but it wedged in nicely between the bottom of the battery and the case. I'm not going to swap battery's in and out, just leave it in there and charge it via the board. I had to remove about .025 for the battery to drop in, in the middle of the last pass the mill bit in and pulled it out of my grasp ramming it down the rest of the length, you can see the really, really ugly marks from the middle to the bottom from that, another reason not to open it up, so I don't have to look at it LoL. But hey, it works and that was the objective. The other hana I think I'll use a drum sander on a dremel, it will take longer but won't be as ugly. I'll probably touch this one up with the sanding disk, not like anyone will ever see it but I'll know the ugly is there and it will always bother me if I don't.
ETA: Recognize anything on the paper towel Steamer? :)

Nice work, Willie. Not having a mill and doing that, anyway, is a real challenge and you delivered the goods!

One of the best covers of this I have heard.

Can't say I really like his voice, but it did make for a great interpretation! I wasn't going to listen to it, but I'm glad I did. The chin piercings are just a "tad" over the top though

Steamer, the 18650 choice is actually for the battery chemistry more than the physical size. You are compensating by changing the battery amp hour settings.

We're is that now? I remember it on older. Versions. But. Didn't notice it on the version. I have now

Ya got me! I assumed, and we know what that can do, that there was a watt hour setting for 18650s, like for multicell LiPO, but there isn't. Hmmm, maybe that should get added given the different capacities available just in 18650s let alone when you include 20700 or 21700.

Still in the same place, under the mod tab.

The 18650 choice is just a Lithium Ion battery cell. It's not size specific as it reads the voltage of the cell and interprets that to a percentage of capacity. It's not exact and the battery curves floating around is a bit silly, IMO. There are way too many variables but any of them will get you close to battery life. Same with the Lipo setting.

You really don't have to change anything if you're going from 18650 to 20700/21700.

I think it was done away with due to cylindrical cells often designed as being replaceable on the fly (ie STEAMER). Different cells could have different capacities, so unless you want to load escribe every time you change a bat what good would it do. Kind of like why run Battery Analyzer on a cylindrical cell unless you plan on that one cell being permanent.

Well, there are a few, like me, who sticks to the same brand/model battery in my DNAs simply to have consistent performance. The difference in watt hours can be significant, say between a 1500mah and a 3000mah, double. That, in turn, makes the battery meter a little superfluous. I don't know that I'd run battery analyzer, but being able to set capacity might be a good thing.

David Draiman has an incredible voice for his genre of music and has done an amazing job with the Sound of Silence IMHO. One of my favorite male singers along with Metallica's James Hetfield and Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows.

Draiman is the voice of Disturbed. :headbang: :headbang: :D

Well, you put in the w/h but usually, the capacity is shown by the voltage of the battery. At 4.2v, you're at 100%, 3.8v is usually around 50%. 3.2v is usualy around 10%. I use LG HG2, HE2, Samsung 25r mostly and changing the battery curve doesn't really do much. I usually charge between 20-40% but I've gone as low as 5%.

A little long,But great video on Coffee! This Guy probably almost! knows as much as Mike about Coffee :)

This guy used to be my hero (Good Eats), until he started doing Iron Chef and acting like a Drama Queen.
