That 193 volts is on the main lugs of the panel coming from the street, supplied by PSE&G. The generator is supplying 210-225 depending on load. The line from the generator is about 100 feet of 10/3 and the generator is a 6000/8000 watt capacity. I just checked again this morning and PSE&G is doing better, up to 197 again. I hope they get this fixed, soon, the poor generator needs a rest and I'm getting tired of gassing it up.

Question for Steamer or maybe it was Mike, if my memory serves me right which it doesn't as well these days, one of you bought a steaming (?) box off FT or one of those websites, can you tell me the make and model #? Wondering how it would compare to the Roku I got the wife, I'm thinking about getting another for myself for office where I watch my TV, this the one I got her Roku Also wondering what it looks like on your TV, does it have a channel list like the pic below or does it look more like a Ruko? Any chance you could snap a pic and post it for me sometime?

Seeing how we are ending up staying with Spectrum but with them going digital and having to use a converter box on each TV it screws me out of getting cable on my desktop through the TV tuner card I have. So I've decided I'll let her have the Spectrum and for my use I'll go the streaming route and I'm going to install an antenna for the local over the air channels I can get, the antenna I'll be able to connect to my tuner card in my computer. I can use a Ruko on my computer monitor through the HDMI ports. I know I can get some of it through my browser but I want a Ruko or something better, as long as it's near or under $50

Thanks!!! :)

Spectrum channel list, does your box have a menu something like this or more like the next pic?

Hey Willy I got a android box off FT, But don't use it for Live TV, We do it old school with a Satellite Dish :) Sorry I cant Help You out :(

Oh, OK, yup android, that snaps a few brain cells back to life, don't have many active left LoL. I remember that now, I thought you used it for streaming. I'll probably just get the Ruko, my thought was if I could find a Steaming device that would have a channel list like she see's with the cable she would be more likely to at least give steaming a try. But she get frustrated with the Ruko trying to get what she's looking for if it's not on Nexflix, she only uses Netflix with it and she has no interest in trying the others. I got that Ruko model for her because you can search by speech, thought it would make it easier for her but she quickly got frustrated with that to because the list that comes up includes shows or movies from all the streaming sources, not just Netflix so she won't use the voice search either. She likes her cable channel list and anything that I would want to replace Spectrum with would have to nearly match it. I'm giving up and keeping Spectrum for her, it will continue to p*** me off every month I have to pay the bill but it is what it is.

Hey Willie, Mike is the "goto" guy for streaming, I think.

I was eating lunch, a little late, and noticed that my neighbors generator was running. Just as I finished lunch, it shut itself down, he has the "high priced spread". On a hunch I went downstairs and checked, back up to 240 volts coming in. Shut down my generator, reset the clocks and all is well again. It is interesting that the automatic generator was not aware of the really low voltage and didn't start itself up to protect the house and appliances. Maybe manual is better in some respects, keep me aware of what's really going on, although I can't believe they didn't notice things wern't running right.

Yeah that's OK, I'm just going with the Roku, already ordered it.

Well, we've had a time warp. Power is back on again. I sure hope it stays on all night. This is really getting old.

Saw a blip on the news this morning showing a shot from your area, it showed a snow covered pine tree that fell on power lines and it was a big ball of orange. Pretty in an unfortunate way.

You know, considering I am a supporting member, I really find all these recent pop-ups, product notifications etc, to be quite annoying. If I am going to have to deal with it anyway, why bother supporting? They are making money per view on the ads that I am being subjected to anyway.

The contests ?
Just click the x to close them.
They aren't "ads".
It takes a crap ton of time and effort to arrange these contests for members...if you aren't interested, just close it :)
Real computer, big screen, actual mouse: Not a problem.

Touch-screen tablet: Somewhat fidgety.

I see both sides and I'm not taking one, just a suggestion. On that light blue contest notice, next time maybe make the X to shut them off visible without having to put the mouse over it. I was annoyed by it for a week and by pure accident my mouse pointer just happen stopped on the X to close it, if that hadn't happen I'd be a lot more then annoyed by now. :)

ROku is more user friendly than Kodi, but Kodi has more options if you have the fortitude to go through the learning curve. Roku wins on the WF (wife friendly) scale by miles though.
Yeah that's a whole nother can of worms, most of which (worms) we aren't allowed to talk about here... I still use it, but only around 5% of the time of I can't find something anywhere else that I or my gf really wants to watch, & only ever with a VPN (more worms). Also, even my gf has trouble with it at times, but, like I said Netflix and Amazon Prime have pretty much everything I want to see 95% of the times.

I do also use it for my plex server though, bc it let's you combine plexbmc/emby add-on functionality. & also the plex android app is officially janky, I just wish that Google assistant worked with kodi instead of plex app.

Willie I thought you already had a roku?

I do already have a Roku, I bought that one for the wife as one of her Christmas presents, she watches Netflix with it on the living room TV. We don't watch TV together because she likes to watch news from 4-5 PM till 9-10 PM then watch her Netflix or recorded shows. I watch and record all my TV in my office on my big computer, I can't take more then a half hour of news a day. I have a new 32 inch curved monitor and I set up quadraphonic speakers, I'm very happy to lean back in my easy chair with my feet up on the desk fill the room with vapor and watch what I want here in my man cave. I want the 2nd Roku for myself to use on my monitor and I'm putting that antenna you have for the local over the air channels, I can hook that antenna up to my TV tuner card. After the 13th when Spectrum goes all digital you need a converter box on a TV, that won't work with my TV tuner card in my computer so I'm going to let her have her Spectrum cable and Netflix on the living room TV and I'm going deeper into streaming and over the air. ;)

Yeah, the pop ups are annoying even if they can be closed. Why there isn't a selection to disable them after you've read them, once, is beyond me. This place is becoming more and more millennial as time goes by. Not being one, by a large stretch, makes it annoying as all get out. This isn't a "free" news or video site, I'm a supporting member as well.

Hey Willie, we have Comtrash, digital, cable. The boxes all have an analog, 75 ohm, output. I use that output to go to my "ancient" VCR, early version of a DVR (giving away how far out of millennial I am), and tap it to run the TV in the kitchen, which has a 75 ohm input, as well.
