A quick question about the new DNA75, if you can answer it for me Mike/VB?
The 200 has the preheat, I set mine to 100 watts for the first 3 seconds.
To get that quick blast, for a shorter more enjoyable draw :)
Does the pre heat on the new board only go up to 75 watts?
In your opinion do you see the limitations of the single cell 18650 config? Or does it vape as good as a 200?
I haven't seen any info released on that so would not like to comment directly, but can't fault you're logic. On the 200 I have the preheat at 200 W, punch 11 for 2 - 3 secs for most builds. I am happy vaping the 75 90% of the time ATM, but they are targeting different market segments and performance levels.

Ditto what VB said.....

However I would add, it only vapes "as good" as a DNA200 if you never go above 75w on your DNA200. If you do go above 75w on your DNA200, during preheat for example, then the DNA75w will likely not yield the exact same vape. Can it be tweaked to be "just as good", that depends on how high you were actually going on the DNA200.

ETA: I seldom go above 75w on my DNA200s, so I do get a comparable vape out of the DNA75 most of the time.

Been vaping off a DNA75 as my primary mod for almost 2 weeks now and I have to say I am satisfied with the vape, and pleasantly surprised with how long a decent quality 18650 lasts. I was real skeptical going into this, I didnt think an 18650 would do well, but it has exceeded my assumptions. Dont get me wrong, you can still only pack just so many watt-hours into the 18650 form factor, so dont expect Evolv to defy Ohms-Law, but the board does better than I expected.

Gotta say lipos are nice for making a light mod but when it comes down to it on the go I still want a compact replaceable 18650 pocket-able mod that can withstand abuse. I never really saw the longevity benefits of a 3s lipo over a replaceable 18650 that I thought I would see when I acquired the 200s. Glad to hear you have been pleasantly surprised by longevity.

Yeah..... BUT.......

I still favor my 5000mAh DNA75 by a long shot. It lasts me 4-5 days, and I have found it to be the Mod I instinctively grab.

We all have different priorities. I am willing to accept a little more bulk (ie ERM+ vs ERM) in exchange for KNOWING my Mod wont die on me throughout my work day, and that I wont "have" to worry about swapping batteries.

How many Wh? It can't be too much more than the 3s Zop you have.

So after a solid week of a great running mod I think this device has packed it in :( Known working Atomizer attached kills the display and short out my usb bus. Unit will not turn on with battery applied, only with usb. Charge indicator does not come on. Voltage across case and center pin reading 5 vdc. Running device analyzer runs with no atty attackeed i get a reading of all three cells but charge rate is very low . When I attach an atty it kills my usb bus and forces me to reboot. Checked the fuse its ok. Any other things to look at? how do I get an RMA if needed?

  • Request an RMA from here: helpdesk@evolvapor.com
  • They will accommodate you. Use my Co-op invoice if they ask for proof of purchase, they will accept it.
  • If you cant find your invoice, then I probably have a copy of it somewhere.
