DAMN WILLY! I wasn't serious when I asked you to take it apart and take hi-res photos!!!

LoL, yeah and I reduced the size of those down to 20%, forgot I had changed the settings when taking pics of the grand kids at their dance recital. I transferred those to my computer, open the first one and holly cow! The wife likes to look at pics of the kids on the big screen tv now that my son in law showed her that can be done.

Didn't dig into it yet, my dvm is out in the shop and I'm too lazy to walk out there and get it LoL. Soldering joints on the pos and neg terms look ok but I suspect it's with the jst circuits or a bad cell, Ill check it out tomorrow.
If it wasn't just a bad solder joint I think I would just call up ecig.com & tell them they sent you a bad battery (of course they are out of red at the moment). I would definitely see what they can do for you before I cut open the shrink wrap on that lipo.

I thought of that but I don't know, I feel funny asking them to stand behind a battery marked down from $50 to $20. Guess it doesn't matter, I just checked and they don't have any left in any color.

They have white & black in stock Willy.

Oh, your right! Damn browser didn't refresh when I picked different colors. I've got too many pages and other programs running LoL. Yeah I'll just check what I can with the meter without cutting the pack open, it if looks like a bad cell I'll shoot them an email.

I am still curious what the cells voltages are, especially when low. As that tells me a lot. So far I have three DX200 battery packs for one DX200. I might get more before ecig runs out of them.

Same price as buying a fullymax from Evolv.

Here are my two worst, but still usable.

FullyMax Pack 1 of 3 (red)
Charged at 11.1v @ 2.5A
30 minutes finished charging, reported capacity is 912mah.
Before charging
Cell 1 = 3.26v
Cell 2 = 3.25v
Cell 3 = 3.09v
Pack = 9.59v

FullyMax Pack 2 of 3 (red)
Charged at 11.1v @ 1A
63 minutes finished charging, reported capacity is 903mah.
Before charging
Cell 1 = 3.43v
Cell 2 = 3.09v
Cell 3 = 3.45v
Pack = 9.97v

Both packs voltages are when the DX200 quit and reported Weak Battery.

Not good, I assume you did but have to ask you got them balanced first Bill?

Yup, all three cells were balanced to 4.20v each. But discharging it is always the same low cells with each pack. When series charging without even doing any balancing yet, they all are nearly identical when fully charged. What this tells me is the low cells have slightly less capacity than the higher cells. I could test the capacity of each cell too if I wanted too. If I had to make an educated guess, I would say about 30 to 40mah lower capacity for the low ones.

That's just what the bad battery pack I have did. I made a quick glance at the battery icon on the screen shortly before it acted up and it showed about half charge. A few puffs later nothing, looked at the screen and it was flashing weak battery. Thinking it might be a bad connection I popped the battery off and reconnected, same, tried it on my other dx, same. Hooked it up to escribe and it showed the middle cell was lower, that cell must have dropped below the cutoff under a load and then the board kicked the low batt. I don't remember what the numbers were and I didn't try to fire it to see what it would read, I just set it aside until today when I pulled it apart for the pics. Sounds like fullymax has some packs with bad cells. I'll check it with the meter and hooked to a board and escribe tomorrow.

ETA: Maybe a bad batch of fullymax's is out there and that triggered the big dump of these? Noticed this on ecig Warranty & Returns | Ecig.com

The following list of products do NOT qualify for returns or exchanges.

Any e-Liquid

External Batteries

Wick/Coil

If yours isn't worse than mine, I wouldn't be too worried. These FullyMax packs when the voltage drops below 3.70v per cell, there isn't much left in them anyway. And even as bad as mine looks, they still have over 900mah capacity per cell. I even balanced them at the low end and charged them individually at 3.5v each and then did a full charge. But the low cell will be too high then and balancing just bleeds off what you put into it. The DNA200 will still stop before any cell becomes dangerously low anyway. And that is the important thing.

Because it is a lipo inside a pack that they sold you, that exclusion is a real stretch & it is reasonable that you should expect it to work, & if not, it is reasonable that they should help you exchange it for one that does. Worth contacting them for help in the matter.

Now I'm thinking I better pull mine off the shelf and cycle/test them a few times to see if there is an issue.

I agree on those points and I wouldn't worry if that's all I was seeing, but the sudden drop from 40-50% to weak battery a short time later isn't right. I had charged both my dx's and rotated them into use at the same time, I vape two juices switching back and forth pretty much equally throughout the day, two mods with same tanks, coils & settings. So when the one suddenly dropped off like that it got my attention LoL. I'm not all that worried about it even if it's a dud and ecig doesn't stand behind it, I'm more curious what the problem is, that damn tinkerer mentality, "maybe I can fix it!" LoL.

Perhaps you can fix it, but the symptoms you describe indicate a pack with a faulty cell. If Ecig.com tells you they won't stand behind it, I'm sure you will & it will probably be cheaper than sending the bad battery back, but at least make the call & see what they will do for you before you void your warranty.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Hey Willie, if you have a spare DNA200 board hanging around, or a DNA200 mod easily dis-assembled, haywire something and hook it up to the DNA and have a look in eScribe. Probably the easiest way to go unless you have an external balancing charger.
