The Dummie got caught on a hot Mic.

Now dont get me wrong, I despise Trump, and would NEVER vote for him. However his biggest sin here was that he got caught on tape. How many men can honestly say they have never made equally crude comments "among the guys"? It was locker room talk, and yes, most guys can be sexist pigs on occasion, myself included. (just think of our morning coffee and comments made there) For that matter, how many women can honestly say they havent made crude comments about men when just "among the girls". I have overheard some conversations gals have when they think no men can hear them.

The dummie just got caught!
Did he get caught or is it that he just didn't care. As @awsum140 said earlier he wasn't in politics back then. Probably had no aspirations to run for office back then either....that we know of.

Yup, I worked as a auto tech for 25 years, rough shop talk was the norm. I also had a time when I needed to take a job, any job and I went to work on an assembly line at Smith Corona for a summer. It was 9 out of 10 women, from where I sat on the line there was not another man in sight, unless one walked by. I can tell you, those women were just as bad as any auto shop, more then once I was the brunt of their anger. I would hear things like "my *&^(%$ husband...." then it would go around the room, pretty soon eyes were glaring at me, I hated working there.

He was wired with a wireless mic on the bus he pulled up in for the show he was appearing on. He knew it was on, but assumed it would be an outtake no one would care about & didn't care!

I have four older sisters & believe me in the gals locker room the conversation would not only make a guy cringe, he'd be more likely to run for the hills.

Sitting down, facing forward.
That's the problem...Trump is dealing in reality, not a construct of reality where all the little snow flakes seem to live where they can ignore reality in the name of "trigger words" or "trigger points". I'm not defending what he said at all, but I think every guy in the country has said stuff like that and far worse and I'm sure most, if not all, women have as well or at least thought it.

Like I said, a pile of manufactured dung to get away from the real problems with the country and the world.

Lost my Dad to cancer

Same here... About 6 year's ago.

I wouldn't put my family through what I went through watching my Father slowly pass.

I agree wholeheartedly. They gave my dad 2 years, he lasted 22 months from the time he was diagnosed. Lots of treatments, surgeries, chemo, etc... Was hard on us all... My mother, my kids... My brother and I both... Our wives - the whole family. The last 6 weeks to 2 months were pure agony. Watching him wither away. [emoji22] helpless except to watch and wait.

Like I said, glad to read about a good report!

Thought his "apology" tried to put the 10 year old comments in perspective & was fairly well done, The flap seems blown way out of proportion as they usually are. Comments were crude & odd even if in a locker room.
Ya know, I'm not sure why he apologized at all.... Hear me out. Those comments are SO within his personality. His aura. His "appeal" if you can call it that. I have to think the people who support him, LIKE that outrageous side of him. The fact that he's not a politician, not pc, and not apologetic. His arrogance is one of the things I would assume his supporters like?

I think apologizing for something said 10 years ago, in private company, essentially bragging to a much younger than him "competitor" (ie another man), in my opinion makes him look weaker and compliant. Things I would have to assume his supporters do not admire.

Not condoning what he said, not at all... though what man (or woman for that matter) hasn't said something sexist about an attractive member of the opposite sex? I'm Just saying he seems to like the shock and awe headlines and sound bites... His supporters want to gamble on a non politician, someone to shake things up... Well... Be a man Donald! You said it. Now you own it. Don't apologize like a brainless idiot (funny lol) because it's expected of you... Be bold! Own it! Yeah I said it! And I carry tic tacs with me everywhere! BELIEVE ME.

LMAO.

Perfectly timed release of 11 year old comments. Trump is a putz, a villain in a low budget movie, and I won't vote for him. But the release of the comments right when the latest email revelations of HRC getting money stuffed in her pockets in exchange for access to policy wreaks of the ongoing fix. Those comments could have been released early in the primaries and saved us a lot of trouble.

Interesting.

Not sure I "get" the split pin design for the solder cup?

View attachment 605869
This is my take from experience, but I have no direct knowledge of why the engineer would choose it. The 1/2 cutout part way down allows better saturation of solder in the joint and more support for the wire than just shortening the connection. Basically makes it more friendly to those not versed in soldering that understand how to blind flow solder toward the heat in a hole. Soldered similar connections years ago.
