Ok So I put a multi meter on the 510, there is a voltage of .6 volts running thru it :(
I tried other mods I have & they read 0 or really low like .03 to .06 so. it's probably a problem in the 510?
Is it safe to assume this?
Sounds like the 510 is the culprit. Can you swap it out? Re-solder the connections?

Disconnect the 510 and see if the discharge continues. If it does, there's another problem somewhere. If it doesn't the problem is in the 510.

Thanks awsum140 :)
But if I'm getting a voltage reading of .6 volts across the 510, can't I assume it's in the 510?

It's a specific 510 for this mod :( I was getting this draw with both boards, So unlikely it's my soldering. I'm going to open the mod & then the 510 & see what I can do
Thanks for the help :)

I just got a Sbody Macro DNA40 from vaping.com (I think it's VS under a different name/website) for $29.99 shipped. It's about the size of a VS DNA40 but with a magnetic door and display on the front instead of the bottom. They only had purple or pink so I went with purple. It's a great little mod.

I meant re-solder the connections on the 510 end, not on the board. I ASSumed you know how to solder so I didn't think the issue was on the board side ;). There might be a blob connecting the pos pin to the ground or it might just be a really bad 510.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Steamer, if you're reading .6 volts across the 510 with no atomizer on it and without pressing any buttons, something else it's pretty likely something else is awry, or maybe a pumpernickel. I was busy mixing liquids and haven't been watching your progress.

Steamer,

You are somehow bleeding voltage constantly without use and since you swapped a DNA in the only thing you probably saved from the original setup was the sled and its wiring. Sounds like a voltage leakage in the battery sled/leads due to poor insulation.

Look for an exposed wire or short to the body of the mod in the positive lead, sled, or battery spring pads. Could be the paint is insulating this short, but allowing just enough voltage to pass to ground to drain off the battery.

Your both probably right :)
I removed the 510, & was still getting .6 volts at the wires from the board :(
Unfortunately To remove the 510 from the wiring I melted the insulator in the 510.
Bottom line the 510 & the battery contacts are Piss Poor!
To get this BS to have the quality I'm looking for, It will need new battery contacts & a new 510.
The enclosure is nice but the internals are sub standard :(
I'm not one to give up, so I will give it a go when I get some time :)

Didn't you say you propped the fire button using resistance wire to hold something to the board? Any chance that may be touching something it shouldn't?

No chance, all the mods I did were with Plastic & epoxy.
The BS was doing this right off the hop, it was discharging the batteries, when it was new.
I just didn't do any investigating. Until The DNA was doing it too

Unless that .6v is reading resistance, I wouldn't expect the the DNA to pass it to the positive lead, especially in sleep or OFF mode.

IDK whats happening But the batteries were discharging.
Because it was doing it with both chips, We need to look at what was the same as before, Not the DNA cause the OG chip was doing it to.
So by proses of elimination it has to be the 510 or the battery contacts?
What else could it be?

I'll have a look at both a 75 and 200 later today to see if there's any voltage present at the 510 while they are idle. I really wouldn't expect that there will be, but one never knows, do one?
It would pulse if it was trying to do refinement (or on atty analyser), but I very much doubt it would try if there was zero res.
