Does anyone know what this part is and what it does on this dna 200 board? Was in the process of building a new mod, this is a new board, noticed that part was damaged when I pulled it out of the box. Looks like a coil winding around a ceramic post? Seem's to connect to escribe OK and it must have passed testing at Evolv so I'm not sure if I should worry about it or not?

Most likely a choke to stop AC signals from or to the battery.

Why screw around with it Willy? Swap it out with Evolv.

it's an inductor (3.3 uH, i think.....). this inductor is part of the DNA 200 1 amp charging circuit. make sure your batteries/lipo is charging at the full amp or charging at all. if it's just slightly cracked, it should be ok. broken off the board = no charging.
the one in my DNA 200 reuleaux is crack as well, just about the same amount as yours and charging is fine.

It is an inductor for the charging circuit like AM said, if you see a 200 shark board it is larger for 2 A charging. It would work as long as the winding is not damaged.

Well I feel bad about sending back another one, this one was sent to me as a replacement for a warrantied board about eight months ago, I stashed it and one extra away for a rainy day. If it would run OK with the top piece cracked then I won't worry about it, I looked at it closely under a magnify glass and the winding looks undamaged. I may end up sending Evolv the pics and see what they say, hate to though.

Sure did it left China the 3rd & was here the 19th, not bad for this time of year Plus it spent 3 extra days in Customs, probably back log from the holidays.

If it's working, do you guys think I should try any repair to the broken top to keep it from cracking more? I'm wondering if it generates heat and get's hot, I could put a drop of super glue or JB Weld on it or add a little metal piece to act as a heat sink with some thermo epoxy. Or just leave it alone and not worry about it?

FT have just listed Aromanizer V1 cheap (with 3 post deck) $11.83 6 ml SDK:655800 or $11.37 3 ml SDK:6550801, you can use the V2 2 post deck SDK:4564901 $8.67 to get the best set up for $20.50. They also have clone 3 ml top for £1.88 SDK:4463901 that work fine, converts 6 ml to 3 ml.

[Rant] on FT you can set the currency to GBP on product details and listings, not basket, but they still have the rate at 1.54USD to the GBP. Today PayPal is giving a 1.1966 so just swapping the currency sign is more accurate than using their conversion. EG the mizer 3 ml comes up at £7.39, get to PayPal and it's £9.50.
