If you want to see government sponsored malware, lookup "Stuxnet"........

The only reason this new incident had any news potential at all was because a power grid employee got it, and it got sensationalized from there.

That whole thing seemed to me to have gotten sensationalized and politicized for no reason. There are thousands of hackers putting out malware from just about any country on the globe. This particular incident was just some run of the mill cyber-criminal, not any type of government sponsored activity.
The entire DNC Russian Hacking thing is ridiculous. They fell for some Spearphishing scams not a brute force hack. The Podesta thing was opportunistic hacking to sell the emails to Wikileaks IMO. Had the DNC allowed the FBI to scan their servers and bolster the Firewalls & Security when the RNC did it probably wouldn't have happened. They were afraid that it was an excuse to gather evidence on Hillary.

The characterization that Putin personally ordered it to help Trump win is a real stretch that borders on criminal politicization of the intelligence services to mislead the American Public & escalate World Tensions.

Now the Hack of the NSA Node Server and theft of their own hacking tools after Obama blamed Russia for Hacking the DNC on the other hand - I believe was ordered by Putin to show Obama that if he wanted to hack the election, he could have.

That was a thing of beauty when they destroyed the Iranian Centrifuges by spinning faster then slower until they blew apart. Took out over 1000 of them!

What I find very interesting is that there are no protests of "fake news" from all the usual sources regarding this. Oh wait, the ones reporting this as a hack on the electrical grid are the ones complaining about fake news.
