IMHO, the "percolator" is/was the single worst sin against coffee, although better than no coffee I guess. Drank gallons of the battery acid in the Navy. Still remember those big twin vats at the ole Diner too.
When fresh, after settling, perked isn't too bad, definitely better than none, and it sure sold a lot of Maxwell House. Those big diner style ones were/are more like a drip pot with a boiling water shower at the top. Problem is when it sits too long in the pot, yuck!
Spent 18 months at GLNTC for Electronics School. The curriculum was awesome but the coffee? It was almost as bad as the pancake syrup, which recrystallized in the time it took to walk from the chow line to my table.

Coolio. I wasn't Navy, I was AF and involved in some sorta cruel military student exchange program. I will say this, when I came out of Navy elec school I knew waaaay more than my AF buddies who graduated from Keesler AFB elec school.
The Navy school was prerequisite for Nuke school and tough tough.

BTW, I came from using these to DNA's and mizer's, I've come a long way in what seems to be a short time thanks to Mike's co-op's and you guys. Thank You all!

The Hussar is a flavor monster. You may end up cutting some of your flavor % like my brother did. I can't get past the plastic tank. The auth ones are high dollar but the machining is top notch.
The Rose is a flavor machine too but not like the Hussar.

Thats why I wanted one, but I'm not paying 200$ for an authentic.I didn't like the Rose until this V3, It performs really well, But it also has a plastic tank.
I remember when 200$ authentic K-F's had plastic tanks, it's not a deal breaker for me as long as it's a clone & don't cost to much
If I was paying for an authentic It would have to be a glass tank!For me thats the best thing about clones, I can try any of them & if they suck it's no big loss
