Key rule...don't feed the trolls, it over inflates them and creates havoc...everyone has to get their 2 cents in to defend against them. Messy messy !
When it gets bad enough, I will PLONK them. But I firmly believe the silent lurkers benefit from the credible info that gets posted in response to troll dribble.

Me wants.......
What process at work would benefit from this? I need.....

Jewelers and metal scrap yards use them, I'm sure there are other applications as well, foundries I'm sure. For me, I'm getting into casting my own bullets. In preparation, for the last few years I've been sourcing and collecting scrap lead, mostly old wheel weights but lead weights are becoming a thing of the past, steel and zinc are more common today. The last couple weeks I've been melting my lead stockpile into ingots, keeping the batches separate. I'd like to get a sample from each checked so I know the ratio of the alloy mix for each batch. It's important to know the mix of the alloy you have, the percentage of lead, tin, bismuth and such because that all determine's the hardness of your bullets. Knowing the alloy you have, you adjust your alloy with tin and pure lead during your final melt when casting. I've collected a stock pile of old lead pipe, close to pure lead and pewter for the high tin content. There is a lot to this bullet casting, it's something I've always wanted to do but was put off by the time it takes to learn and do it. But with the prices of bullets for reloading today and more time on my hands, I decided to give it a go.

I just received the 2 Silo75c cases and built one (waiting on a replacement screen for the other DNA75c). I'm not really a fan of magnets holding the case together but they seem strong enough. I used JB Weld to hold them in the holes. I used a VT 510 with a tabbed washer for the ground and nut to hold it and it's solid. I have a build that reads .51Ω on my Silo 75 and it reads .49Ω on the Silo 75c. The screen hole is about 1mm too big all around and the screen doesn't fit right in the case so it can be skewed. I used my old foam and electrical tape trick and it's ok for now. There's a 3d screen holder from Shapeways but I'll probably try to get the .stl file to print myself.

I only vaped it for a few mins but I like it enough to order a lost vape Therion in black/black carbon fiber.
$149.99 Authentic Lost Vape Therion DNA75C TC VW APV Box Mod - 1-75W / 200-600'F / 2*18650 / color screen at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping (Use Code: MAP)
Ships in 5 business days and should take 2 weeks after that so hopefully by the end of the month. The other reason for ordering it was because it's a dual battery mod and it would be nice to have the extra run time.

Don't want to be the party pooper, but I'm at my second dna75c mod (1 therion and 1 vapedroid X1C2), and I think there's something weird with the 75C temperature control. Not sure if it's all just due to regularly reading cold ohms too low (both mods, after running case analysis and tuning mod resistance with a copper plug), but I'm trying to get as much inputs from other people as possible (if you're interested I've posted this on the Evolv forum: https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/68705-reading-ohms-too-low/?do=findComment&comment=918706). I can't believe this board has to behave like it does, but even after the two latest service packs the vape in TC is not as expected at all. Biggest problem at the end of the story is that at the moment with the dna75c, the value of the set temperature seems really to have become again "just a number" that you have to set "by taste", which I wouldn't expect at all from Evolv. Pleas verify from yourself and see if we can get some more info from the horse's mouth....

Thanks for the link, sounds like Evolve needs to configure the chipset more completely to keep lazy mod manufacturers from shipping half programmed mods out to customers.
Seems at the very least they should ship the boards set to read cold res at 68°f, have SE csv material profiles loaded and internal res set to .005-ish ohms.
With your two 75c mods reading atty res .03 ohms low compared to your other dna mods what temp are you having to set to get a warm vape? 500°f? Maybe higher?

Absolutely agreeing with the need to counter lazy modders..
As a matter of fact, and as a credit to the great modder behind it, the vapedroid X1C2 came in fully configured. Which is unfortunately not enough: I had to use a modified 316L csv that basically implements a TCR=100 (while the standard csv is for a TCR=83) to get a vape that "tastes" the same.
But my point is that, especially now that higher and uncontrolled temps are under investigation for the potential release of nasties, one doesn't really want to spend $$ on a dna mod and then have to go "by taste"...
Regarding your last question: yes, without using the modified csv I have to crank up into the 480-500F ballpark.
The weird additional thing is that the 75C apparently also defeats for some reason the cotton burn test:
I wasn't able to clearly mark the cotton at any temp, it seems like the firmware detects a fully dry condition and completely shuts off, so I couldn't even get a reference feedback for the real temps I'm at...

That sucks, firmware problem or an escribe setting?
Not sure. I uploaded a theme and now neither board will charge. 1 board's led shows fully charged (green) when plugged in. The other will show red for charging and icon on screen that it's charging but after 2 hrs on a 2a USB charger, no change in battery level. Pulled the battery and it's the same voltage as shown by the board.

Tried loading different themes, reset to default, hard reboot, soft reboot, etc. I'll have to open a ticket with Evolv. Hopefully, they have a secret trick to reset the board. I dont' see any burnt fuses/traces on the board.

It reads a couple of thousands low but I also have a ground wire direct to the 510. Current KF5 reading .52Ω on a DNA75 (Silo case) is reading .505Ω on the DNA75c (Silo case).

Too low and unacceptable. That's 1-1/2 hundredths, not thousandths, and with SS will throw off coil temp about 80°f low compared to set temp. I'm definitely going to wait on building anything with my two boards until this is resolved.

Seems to be happening to all most everyone :( Just what seems like a small difference can really throw out the TC :( Hopefully just an update will resolve the issue?
I'm kinda glad I passed on the 75c, I'm sure there will be no 250c realse till this issue is resolved.

Several 75c modders have run the case analizer but were unable to download settings until Evolv updated the FW to 3.0. Some are still having problems and according to Evolve "They're working on it". I have 3D prints and other mod parts coming soon for my 75C boards so I'm really needing Evolv to get their act together.
