Cross posted in the evolv forum but figured I might get a faster response here. I built a mod Crate Silo recently and have noticed that swapping cold atomizers between my dna 200 and 75c result in a different ohm reading between the two mods. The Dna200 wil read cold ohms at .154 and the 75c reads .176. the only real difference between the buildsis the 510 connector. The 200 has an evolve 510 and the 75c is sporting a FDV Black 510. Cold the difference in ohms be related to the 510 connections? The boards in the 75c is tight to the mod and no wiggle or corrosion. Should I adjust the mod resistance in escribe? or look more toward the build aspect of the mod?
Try a different atty with a different resistance.

If the delta between the two Mods is still the same .022 delta you see now, then I would trust that your 75C has a higher "mod resistance" and bump it up accordingly in Escribe.

ETA: Actually it might be the 200 that is off, or a combination of both Mods, unless you did the resistance calibration on the 200 already and know that it is correct. Though the 75C does seem like the more likely candidate.

I get different resistance readings(slight as they may be) doing the same thing as you using a ERM+ DNA200 and a Silo DNA75 using the same Evolv 510. Both mods have had the case thermals calibrated etc., so I just accept it for what it is.

Truer words have never been spoken :)

A young man was walking along one of Southern California's sandy beaches with his surf board. He suddenly spots this bottle which has recently washed up on the beach. It's obvious it's been tossed around for a long time. He picks up the bottle and notices that it still has the cork intact. So, being curious as to what may be inside, he manages to get the cork out and out pops a Genie.

After expressing profound appreciation for having been let out of the bottle, the Genie grants his benefactor the classic, "one wish" and it will be yours. Being an avid surfer, it doesn't take him long to say,
"I've always wanted to surf Hawaii, but I get seasick on ships and I'm afraid to fly. Would you build me a bridge to Hawaii?"

The Genie replies:
"Do you know what you are asking for? Do you know how long the bridge would have to be? Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. And the maintenance of that bridge! No, think of another wish."

The man said OK and tried to think of a really good wish. Finally, he said,
"I've been married and divorced four times. My wives always said that I don't care and that I'm insensitive. So, I wish that I could understand women ... know how they feel inside and what they're thinking when they give me the silent treatment ... know why they're crying, know what they really want when they say nothing ... know how to make them truly happy ... I really want to understand women and how they think!"

After a long sigh, the Genie responds:
"Would you like that bridge with two lanes or four?"

I like that one Steamer, may steal and repeat it someday, it's a keeper. :)

The first couple lines reminded me of this story I heard many many years ago. Some may have heard it before but told a little different, I'm sure the original version has long been lost over the years as it's been repeated but it's the message that counts;

The Starfish Story
While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water.

He came closer still and called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”

The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”

The old man smiled, and said, “I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”

To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”

Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, “But, young man, do you not realise that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”

The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it into the back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, “It made a difference for that one.”

It reminds me so much of my Dad because every once in a while I'd see him come across a stranger in need and Dad would make it a mission to find a way help them, someone who just needed a little helping hand during a tough time. I'll save you from the long story's of Dad's rough start in life and the people who helped him get started. I'll just say Dad never forgot how much little acts of kindness can lift someone, how a little help now and then can go a long way to make someone's life better, it was his way of just paying it forward. :)

For a shorting tool I use the threaded bolt part of a FDV 510 tool, I originally got it for installing and removing 510'a and it's the bee's knee's for that but it also works great for testing mod resistance. You get two for $5 plus shipping. Scroll down almost half way on this page, it's on the right side, here's a screen shot. Link--> SHOP

Some of my pics, I like to use a brass washer between the 510 and nut to keep from scratching the 510, in a pinch you can use or make a washer from a brass 510 grounding connector.

We're having a heat wave by comparison. 12 this morning, that's -11 Canadian, not quite as cold but still too darn cold. Is winter over yet????

About the same here, looks like it's going to be like that for the next week but without much snow. Gonna hate seeing next months heat bill.

This is what all our hard work was for awsum, now we can rest, look outside and take pleasure we got all those jobs done. Holidays are about over, outside work all done, now it's hibernation time.

nope! generator was only delivered today ;)
I have been thinking about getting a natural gas generator. I have never lost gas in the 20 years I have lived in this house.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Willie, the outside work never seems to end, winter or not. The trees constantly shed dead branches that need to be picked up and chipped. Then there's the constant, never ending, ad infinitum, supply of leaves that accumulate on the fence lines and in the corners that need to be picked up, one way or another, and shredded. At least it's been fairly dry the last few days, but "the hawk is out" from the north (thanks bunches Steamer) so it's just a little on the chilly side trying to do anything that takes longer than a half hour or so.

My neighbor has a propane generator. Seems OK from what I can see, it fires up once a week, Wednesday at 1PM, and runs for a few minutes which is kind of a good/best practice in the backup generator world. I opted for gas and have enough spare gas, stabilized, to run at least two weeks of conservative use. If we're out of power longer than that, propane and natural gas could easily run out as well, plus with all the gas powered "toys" around it's handy having plenty of gas on hand. I try to remember to run ours once a month for fifteen minutes or so just to keep the battery charged and know it'll fire up if/when needed.

True, there are always small tasks but the big jobs, outside house repairs, painting, gutter, the landscaping and driveway repairs I was able to finish before this snow and freezing weather came. I have no fences, any leaf's I ignore, let the wind blow them where it may and I'll deal with them in the spring. The branches, I just toss them in the hauling trailer, I never use it in the winter. In the spring I'll clean the yard, toss the leafs and such in the trailer and take it to the county recycling center where they mulch all that stuff.

I'm taking a week or two to just set on my .... and rest, my neck took more of a beating then my lower back did during the summer and it's not getting better as I thought it would, that has me worried I pushed too far and hard. After a couple weeks I'll get bored, I've got winter projects waiting in the shop. You know I like to tinker, I'll fire up the heaters and spend time out there to keep me busy and moving. Got the son in laws John Deere back over here, there's a problem with the used engine I put on it for him last summer, it needs to be pulled, taken apart and see if the cost of parts and machining will be worth saving it. My goal was to get that tractor running last summer so he could use it to blow out his own driveway's and between us we'd have two tractor's with mowers, leaf baggers and snow blowers so if one went down there's always a backup. But once again I'm having to do both ours and theirs, we both have big long driveways and it doubles my time out there. I'm frozen stiff by the time I'm done, that damn prosthetic gets cold fast, my leg will be blue when I come in. I could let him use my tractor but he's to rough on stuff and I don't want him breaking mine, if that happen I/we would be screwed and would have to hire someone to plow and I hate plowing, those guys always tear up the driveway and yard.

Yeah, I'm glad I got the trench and conduit job done. I managed to fry a camera, never mind how, in the process of upgrading my router. I did that because I wanted a VPN capable router rather than doing port forwarding. So, I had to buy a replacement camera and bought a Dahua 5231R-Z. Man, what a difference! Night vision is superb and I can actually shut off the IR and use color at night with no lights on. Its got a 12x remote zoom but is a turret, and not a PTZ, so the zoom function is nice but I can't take full advantage of it. Now, I want to add more cameras and will be using the Dahua "StarVis" series, well worth the price difference from the cheapie stuff I've been buying off of Amazon.

I chip and mulch everything from our yard. The soil here is, at best, poor so I use the proceeds to enrich it (I hope). I do add some lime since leaf mulch is a little on the acidy side, but it seems to work. Plus it makes a great way of keeping the weeds under control in the garden.

I used to let the branches accumulate, then hauled them out to the curb a few times a year for the Township to chip up. It got a little old after a while and having a heap of branches hanging around, and constantly growing is size, wasn't all that "attractive". Add in the leaves, and we have a lot of trees as well as woods along the west side of the backyard. I always ended up with 40-50 bags at the curb in the spring plus a few yards in the mulch pen. So I sprung for a chipper/shredder. Now I've got about six yards of fine mulch to spread around and rototill in in the spring which, I hope, will actually let me get some lawn going instead of weeds. I chip all the branches in a specific area that Leo uses when he needs to go. Right now, it's all as hard as concrete, frozen solid.

Going to order some more stuff from that guy zbbmods who is selling the Hana mod kits, getting a couple more of the reference mod kits and a couple spare lipo's. One of the things that caught my eye is these 40 mods that run off an 18650, thinking of pulling the 40 board and putting one of the 60 boards I have in it but mine is a small screen. I'd need to replace the screen with a large, if I can swap out a small for a large on those 60 boards?

He has a listing of large screens as replacements to fit DNA 40 / 60 / 75 / 200 / 250, do they ALL interchange? I thought there was a difference in some of them? DNA 40 / 60 / 75 / 200 / 250 LARGE SCREEN | eBay

This is the 40 mod I'm thinking of putting a 60 in, think it make a decent 60 mod? It's only $20 shipped. Hana Modz V4 DNA 40 *Authentic* Navy Blue MOD *BLOWOUT SALE* | eBay

Here's a link to all his listings zbbmods | eBay

Thought I'd add stuff I want to the cart then ask him to combine and give me a break on shipping, little tab at the top right of the shopping cart where you can request a total from the seller, worse he can do is say no.

Heat bill? What's that? :D

It's great, uses about $10 a month in electricity but keeping a few chainsaws and tractor running costs $$ too. My back stays pretty mad at me during cutting season. Whine...whine
Notice the holes in the end of the wood? Oak bores are ravaging our Red Oak trees. At least all of the wood I cut is "Guilt free".
