I think these are interesting experiences. In my life before retirement, I had a position in which I came into contact with many people and many problems but never had this experience told to me. Now, two in a row, I don't know what to make of it but I sure find it interesting - booze, drugs, no problem; tobacco, a problem. Mentally filed away in my otherwise cluttered mind for further thought.

I appreciate these posts.
One possible nuance, I have 30 years under my belt with booze, only 5 years with tobacco. At 5 years I am sure I was still squeamish around the booze too.

The good news is that it stopped snowing and it is 28F. The bad news is I got 18 inches of new snow and I am snowed in. :(

That sucks, and here I was whining about it being chilly and raining, I should count my blessings. I tend to keep forgetting a rule I try to live by; Don't complain, there is always someone who has it worse. ;)

Here's a site where you can watch movies and tv shows online for free, it's from another country and they don't have to follow copyright laws, well at least they don't. :) It's spamy and full of popup's but if you willing to close popup's it's a small price to pay for what you can watch, they even have some new releases. I've been using it for some time now, can't beat free and there's some good stuff there. Using Torch browser with the built in media grabber I can download the videos and watch later without the popup's. ;) FMovies | Watch Movies Online Free on FMovies.to

ETA: If you drop down below the video it will show a list of servers, choose OpenLoad, click on the little box to the right as shown in the screen grab below, it's a faster server without the pauses from slow download and with it you can download the video using Torch.

So it kind of seems like nobody here really had an issue with lowering their nic when they tried?

I think the problem is he's never actually tried, he says he has but tbh I felt the same way until I just decided to give myself a day, just one day without anything but by the end of that day the cravings had reduced themselves dramatically...

If he's just dumping in nicotine via an eye dropper, if it was me, I'd try to get him to buy some SMALL syringes or a scale. He has no idea what the nicotine level actually is. It would have to get really high to be dangerous, probably over 75mg but don't take that as Gospel. I've never met anyone who took up vaping and wasn't a tobacco user. That, by itself, would seem to point to an easily addicted personality type. Somehow, that nicotine level has to get controlled so he at least knows where it's at.

We started at 18mg and over time, now that I DIY, have lowered down to 3mg. I usually lower it once a year and never mention anything to the Mrs. and she's never noticed anything. She does ask how much is in the mix and I tell her, honestly, but she never notices when it happens. I really can't say I've noticed much either but dropping at 1mg at a time may be the key to why I don't notice. Our liquid consumption has gone up but I attribute that to, shall we say, more efficient hardware.

Agreed, you're preaching to the choir on that one, I even gave him my old scale and showed him what the amount I use per 30mls (just over a gram) looks like... He does several dropper full's, idk how many but he does. & yeah it was worrying, to me at least to see that he appears to be putting like 20x more nic in than I do.

Why didn't he start with no nic juice? Can't understand why someone would want to willingly addict themselves to something like nic, one of the hardest addictions to give up. Water under the bridge now, sounds like he's strong headed, is going to do what he wants and isn't one to listen to advice or reason so there isn't much you can do, can't save someone who doesn't want saving. I'd but him some cheap DIY tools so he can adjust the mic levels accurately, maybe he'll use them but I have a feeling he won't, hence the reason I say buy cheap.

I vaped at 24 for a long time, reduced it to 18 but haven't had any luck going lower, each time I try I get cravings way to fast. I do chain vape, probably doesn't help in regards to cutting back on the nic, to me it doesn't matter, so long as I don't smoke, vaping is guilt free. :)
Search me dude, it confuses me too... Tbh he's the type of vaper I also have a hard time supporting in their habit... vaping, imo, should be used as a smoking/tobacco cessation tool & nothing else.

btw I got the painting stuff for tomorrow (unless something comes up) can you guys give it a look over & tell me if maybe I forgot something. I decided small rollers would be better, esp. Since I suck so much at painting.

Well I was vaping on 6mg juice this morning and I'm use to 18mg. It was just fine except I vaped through 3 times more juice than I usually do. :)

You know I was thinking about this whole lower nic stuff. As why do people lower their nic by using lower nic juices? Wouldn't it make more sense by just vaping less will also lower your nic intake without lowering the nic in your juice?

That has happened to me naturally.

I vaped 36mg since the beginning, I vaped about 10ml back then. Last year I vaped an average of 5-6ml a day. This year I am averaging about 4ml a day.

Hey @kiba one thing we always do is, instead cleaning up our rollers and brushes in between coats we just put saran wrap around them, it keeps them moist. And for the roller handles, I keep the frame portion towards the side it always wants to roll off, except for the wall edges. It's never on the side where 2 walls meet. Sorry if those 2 are obvious.

One last thing, is if I have a stipple/stucco ceiling, I'll run that sharp edge of the paint roller cleaner tool along the wall and ceiling. It'll create the tiniest little channel for your flat foam brush or regular brush to keep it off the stipple.

Not obvious at all, like I said I'm horrible at this... Also I had no idea that part of the tool was for cleaning rollers, btw what is this for...

The thing of it is that I like the "act" of smoking. Our liquid consumption has gone up, but I attribute that more to the changes in atomizer output than a desire for more, or even the same, nicotine level. I can go for hours without using a mod with no urges other than that %$^@ need for the hand/mouth things.

They gave up on washers that you talked to because people were "uncomfortable" talking to the washing machine. I suspect, once the novelty wears off, the same thing will happen with this, although with the millennial crowd, who knows.

Well I am supposed to be getting vape mail today (was supposed to be here yesterday). No mail yesterday since everyone had taken a snow day. And my mailbox is out by the road, a 100 yards from my front door. Now where did I put those snow shoes?

    Checking supplies:
    4lbs of coffee beans
    1 can of Pringles
    2lbs of potatoes

    Frig has:
    1/2lbs of smoked turkey lunchmeat
4 slices of deli American cheese
1 expired loaf of bread (might be still ok being in the frig)
    2 bottles of beer

Damn I am the worst prepper ever!

You know I completely get that. But something happened to me along the line. Maybe it had something to do with quitting smoking so many times. But I really don't like that hand to mouth thing anymore. As I rather use that hand to hold my coffee cup. :)
