I used to steam clean my Ti coils back in my DNA40 TC days, but not with the wick in place. I used a wet pipe cleaner as a temporary wick inside the coils; it allows you to keep sliding it to a new wet section.

Now that I'm back to mechs, I still do that, after dry-burning the crud off my Kanthal. :)

Good thought.

Sitting down, facing forward.
That's a nice WiFi scanner, Rossum, even has an IP scan of your local subnet. I fooled a little and can see different networks depending on which way, and how high, I hold the phone. Like I said Tibs, signal propagation is a pretty fickle phenomenon.

but, lol, with my holding on to gadgets till they stop working instead of upgrading when there's no need, i might be left out in the cold once again ;) the netsurveyor app is apparently not compatible with my windows10 lap top which originally had 7. and the tablet is below ios 6, im pretty sure, so rossum idea won't work. :(

on second thought, the netsurveyor problem might have been me not switching users and downloading it with a non-administrator account. i'll try one more time later on ;)

Tibs, I have Net Surveyor installed on this craptop, Win10, and it works fine. I installedit with my own account, admin privileges, so that could be why you're having a problem, but I kind of doubt it.

NetSurveyor 802.11 Network Discovery Tool

Back "in the day" I used to be the "Amarilla Oil King" (sitting in NJ) and spoof the crap out of the skip chasers.

Nice gear!

One of my employers had a Yaesu FT-410B that worked quite nicely to bother the 11m crowd.

I had a Browning Sabre and a D104 Trucker II that saw many years of good service, with a 1/4 wave ball mount antenna I attached to every junker I had at the time.

Proto has 1300 & 950 Silo's in stock! For $29.99, the 1300's are the ones that hold a DNA200/250 & a Turnigy 3S 1300mAH Lipo :) The enclosures include every thing but a Chip & a Battery :)
These are as close to An ERM+ as it gets :) There are several colours to choose from, the Anodized Finnish is very durable, the 510 is of good quality. I have 2 of these for a long time now & there great enclosures! mod Crate was the only place that had the 1300's, they were in enormous demand & then just disappeared :( IDK were these came from? But I would bet they wont be a round to long.
Silo MC billet aluminum DNA mod case

I know 29.99 sound like quite a bit more than the Ebay Hana enclosures, But these hold a lot bigger battery (3S 1300mAH) & aren't that much bigger in size :)

Here's a comparison pic, the ERM+ 2 Silo 1300's the Silo 950 & the Ebay Hana
You can see the Silo 1300 is Smaller than the ERM+ But still hold the same battery :)

and mystery solved ;) there was no need to retry installing net surveyor; the hidden network culprit was the original roku stick i moved from next door to the family room's tv. apparently, those things create their own wifi to make the remote work and my lap top picked it up. what's puzzling though that seems not to be the case when the roku is built into the tv :?: unless i never noticed because i only check available networks when one of my hot spots is acting up and i need to switch over.

I have two roku sticks and don't get a wifi signal from them, just checked. Mine are model 3800R if that helps.
