Name of the game is accuracy, to get as close as you can to a total score of 300, 30 rounds all in the Ten ring. For those shooting semi's it is plenty of time but those shooting wheel guns not so much, and it is all one handed shooting. Not sure exactly when Bullseye first started but I have seen lots of pics from back in the 40's and the majority shot wheel guns back then, the rules haven't changed. Here's a video from 1936 showing police matches, not exactly "Bullseye" but close, lots of history in the sport.
