I'm sorry Willy, but five rounds in 10 seconds is not "Rapid Fire" in my book.

Name of the game is accuracy, to get as close as you can to a total score of 300, 30 rounds all in the Ten ring. For those shooting semi's it is plenty of time but those shooting wheel guns not so much, and it is all one handed shooting. Not sure exactly when Bullseye first started but I have seen lots of pics from back in the 40's and the majority shot wheel guns back then, the rules haven't changed. Here's a video from 1936 showing police matches, not exactly "Bullseye" but close, lots of history in the sport.

Back in around 1979 my first wife a I were living with her parents for a bit. My father-in law gave a bunch of my auto parts that were down in the basement to the junk man. I was missing a Holley 780 square bore carburetor and figured it went out with the junk. Around 6 mo. later I found it in the freezer of the fridge that was down there. I took the beer out and put the carb in.
I always look in the freezer now when something is missing. I even raked the cat box down just in case he buried it.
There's more yet, my 19 yr.old son was in there at my desk looking for his power bank.
I really think that he had something to do with it being missing but not theft.

On a brighter note, my Vapecige squonk box will be here tomorrow.....I think.
The only place I seemed to have been delayed was customs, I'm expect to see the "we inspected this" tape on it.

I used to shoot the NJ State Police target/qualifying course. Twelve rounds in ten seconds with a wheel gun. Granted it was a "coke bottle" target, not a real "bullseye" but usually manage 290 to 295 at ten yards with a 2-3/4" with about three seconds to spare. Using speed loaders of course!

Sheesh, who leaves a safe just sitting there? It should be bolted to the floor and/or wall. Tapcons for a concrete floor, lag bolts for wood. Use fender washers under the heads.

Bolt it down? You mean like they're supposed to? Laughable! I've moved dozens of safes in my residential construction career and have only found a couple that were secured with mounting hardware. Sadly it's "Safe" to say, most don't bother. I find that most put them in their Mbed closet (the first place thieves look) and those that were mounted were not positioned with the latching side against a wall where it would be more difficult for thieves to use prybars.
There are many things that can be done cheaply to hardened your home and to make even cheaper safes much more secure but most folks just run out and buy a Liberty or Winchester safe and stand it somewhere in their home.

I'm pretty sure that if I order this as a replacement that I'll find the missing one straight away. This one uses a FDV v4 Ulimate 510, I'd rather have the Evolv one but this may be pretty good.

The Ebay Guy still has some enclosures $9.95 with Battery included! I'm pretty sure some one here in our thread mite have a spare DNA 250?

Do you have any issues with the Short 510? My 2 were giving me grief on a lot of mods cause the 510 just wasn't reaching down far enough
I pulled the screw out of the bottom & made a spacer/washer that goes inside between the bottom piece's, it lengthened the 510 screw & now I'm getting a good connection on pretty much all my mods

I'm starting to have those senior moments, last summer I was getting ready to leave for some shopping, went to the kitchen to top off my coffee and put the creamer away. When I was ready to walk out the door one of the two mods I always take wasn't on my desk so I'm back tracking my last trips around the house looking where I left it, I walked into the kitchen and spotted the creamer on the counter, "Huh, I put that away" Open the frig and there's my mod sitting where the creamer goes...

I love my Smith's and I love shooting them but I shot a few fun postal matches with my Model 10 .38 but that was about it. I highly doubt I'd be able to get twelve on the target with a reload in ten seconds, that would take "me" some practice! Semi's are easy, I had a high respect to the folks who shot the matches with the traditional wheel guns, some of them shot some damn nice targets too! I did try my buddy's Smith one night at practice just to see what it was like, shooting one handed, recocking the hammer between shots, getting your sight picture back before you break the next shot, whew, the seconds tick away quickly.
