Was it Steamer that put in a new Lipo and had it charge really slow. What was the problem?

I had a Lipo mod that got wet with juice, I thought I had cleaned it up good. There was some juice residue between the JST pins on the back/ front? of the board. This was causing 2 of the 4 cells to charge real slow. I cleaned it up & the battery recovered, still works good today :)

I used the search feature and just found your post. I sent the info to a guy on the un-named forum that was having like problem.

The desktop that I built about a year before the one that i'm using now (about 2011) I put 3 750 gig Hitachi 7200 drives in RAID 0, that got better than SSD speeds at the time (SATA 2), about 400 mb linear read. That was where I learned about the 2 Tb limit. I was able to work around the 2 Tb limit by splitting into 4 drives (partitions) after setting them to RAID 0, the 4th non-raid partition was just big enough to bring the array to just under 2 Tb.
I hope that Pcie to SATA card will work on boot.

Well, using the Intel graphics leaves the 1050 sitting there, doing nothing, drawing power. Like I said, at idle I'd expect to see it use 10 watts or so, given it's a mobile version. That will effect battery life. Either way it's a nice laptop though.
Here are the wattage readings I am getting:
  • 3 watts - Standby
  • 25 watts - idle (screen off)
  • 30 watts - idle (screen on)
  • 50 watts - typically what it is running at while using
  • 130 watts - heavy all out intensive gaming

You could download/install GPU-Z. It will show you what the 1050 is doing in terms of power, temperature, GPU utilization and video engine utilization along with a host of other details. Using those igures you can see what the machine/Intel GPU load looks like.

awsum140, I was using GPU Temp, but I'll install GPU-Z and check it out. In the comments people where mentioning about the Lenovo Legend Y530, that is that it will suddenly freeze up. One commended they thought it was a Windows problem and not the machine. I also agree. I've experienced this too, but it only happens when the 16GB of RAM is full. I am not doing anything that should eat up 16GB of memory, so I must have a memory leak. I'll check it out.

It locks up for about 5 minutes (mouse pointer doesn't move either) and then comes back with like 4GB of memory in use. I suspect that Intel Optane 16GB might be causing the freezing up. I'll look into this too and I can toggle it off and see if it happens anymore, plus plug that leak.

I have another used computer (only a few months old) coming today. It's a HP Pavilion X360-15 inch. This too has 16GB of Intel Optane memory, but only 4GB of RAM and see if that one does it too. It only has a i3 processor and uses Intel integrated graphics. I am hoping it will be fast enough for things like browsing, email, and watching movies.

There are known memory leaks in Intel GPU drivers. I don't have anything with built in Intel graphics so I've never experienced it. It has given a lot of people that run Blue Iris fits for a long time, but the latest versions seem to have fixed it, finally. It becomes a matter of testing each previous driver and stopping Windooohs 10 from "updating" it on you once you find one that doesn't leak.

Much Thanks for the music gents!

Mowgli, I think it was Baker Street when I first realized my love for the Sax, and afterwards with Springsteen's gravelly voice and Clarence Clemons. At well over 3:30 minutes, that version probably never made it to radio.

While I'm here, in my shuffling madness ;), I did't even know a flute existed before Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath and Aqualung. Yup, time to crank up the Stereo. :vapor:

    I have memory leaks!
Much preferred over bladder leaks IMHO, well I guess it

Totally enjoyed Springsteen - The River, Matchbox 20 (such a clean recording), U2, Kid Rock, and some Hootie and the Blowfish earlier. ;)

I gotta put an amp back in the cabinet, but it's 50 pounds and a tight fit.
