Just cloned my SSD again for my desktop getting ready for the PciE to SATA card to be delivered on Monday.
Then after starting on my 2nd cup I decided to clone the HD again using an old drive. I'm going to boot that drive and see if I can upgrade my "styled" version of Win7 to Win10.

Walked in the door and saw... Asking myself, should I slip back out and hope no one saw me... I won't ask..

Well after weeks of up's and down's, a whole lot of praying and worrying about my wife's health we finally got some welcome news that things are not as bad as we feared. She'll have to make some changes but we all do as we age, at least we finally have answers and can breath a sigh of relief. The last 6-8 weeks have been a roller coaster, we are both happy to put those days behind us and get back to some normalcy. And catch up on a lot of lost sleep.

OK, now I'll ask, what the heck have you guys been talking about LoL.

Fat Burning Coffee?? Boy I could have used that about ten years ago, I lost my weight the hard way... Interesting though if real.

Nuthin but billet boxes, coffee, PC's, and leaks. Memory leaks, computer and human. Those Depends were just in case, and you'll notice I found the male version :D
Good to hear positive news on your end.

Well if you don't want to go the Depends route, there is always...

Sitting down, facing forward.
DW, I upgraded(?) my Win7/Pro desktop to Windoohs 10 and had no problems. I used the Media Creation Tool, from Microsoft, and created a boot disk. It went with no problems and registered as Win10/Pro with no problems at all. I used the same boot disk when I replaced the hard drive in this craptop and did a fresh install of Windoohs 10 on it. With that install I was able to select the version of Windoohs 10 which didn't happen on the upgrade(?) from Win7 on the desktop. Both were done, other than updates, in under a half hour and both were installed on platter drives.

I ran the install in Windows, could have booted it I suppose. I have a 2nd chip for SATA and PATA, auxillery of sorts, (from the main ICH10R) that I can connect one SATA device externaly. It's not that fast when using a 2008 HD.
Windows 10 is activated, now to see if an update kills that. I'm going to stick with Win 7 for awhile yet, this was just an experiment to see if my cracked version would activate.

I received my PciE to SATA card today. Upon installation it would not boot past the welcome screen so I simply gave up but left the card installed. When I restarted the computer I noticed it installed drivers for it so I hooked it up again and it works fine. 365 Mb linear read now. 253 Mb before. A big DUH goes out to me.
