Hey guys! May I tap into your knowledge base of computer usage? I just bought a new lappy for my son for graduation. Thought I'd pull the battery out to store.

At what battery percentage should I yank it that would be close to the 3.7v optimal storage level. Or is there an app?

Ty, Bob

The number thrown around a lot is 50% to 60%. But 50% to 75% should be fine.

Some computers comes with a program that will do a deep look into the battery and tell you things like how many recharges it had and the voltages of the cells.

The like brand new but old battery charger I got here the same way maybe 5 years ago, only 4 amp but that will do.
The battery was put into service about a year ago then just the car just sat there not driven. Some folks seem to think when it's dead that it's no good. This is a $200 battery and so far it appears to be good.
Too bad that I have no use for it, doesn't fit mine anyway.
