Okay this was posted a few years back and I didn't save it (I didn't need it back them) and now I can't find it with the search so far after hours of looking.

Ok now the DNA60 with the latest firmware, you can change the boost level for a given Profile right on the mod. Assuming boost was already turned on for that Profile. Anybody recall the key sequence? Does it work on other later non-color DNAs too?

Am I the only soul here that uses Power Dominant TC vs. Temperature Dominant TC? I have to admit that I used Temperature Dominant TC in the beginning. And I thought I was happy with it. You know slamming it to a given temp and vape away.

But then fancy coils came out that wasn't available in TC material and then I played around with them in power mode. And I liked the vape far better than Temperature Dominant TC. As it warms up going through different temperatures until it peaks out. Some flavors will not matter much while some will a lot.

Bingo! The exact same experience can be had with Power Dominant TC instead of Temperature Dominant TC mode. This is the mode that Evolv thought almost everyone would use in the beginning but didn't. I've been loving it for about 3 years now.

Aaaaah BillW50, this sound like the mac vs. windows, or windows vs. mac fight. And you know you made up both those terms (but I know what you mean) :) And while I agree with the vast majority of what you said, you missed out a bit.
You know slamming it to a given temp and vape away.
Followed by the power spiral of death (IIRC John's words) ;) then followed by enabling Replay in TC  and claiming success

I always thought is was just what you could readily adjust quickly from the mod's screen.

That is all it does with the mod really. But we tweak our vape up and down in little amounts from time to time. If you prefer Power Dominant TC (vapes just like power mode), you tweak by power. If you prefer Temperature Dominant, you tweak by temperature.

In the beginning I did blast to the temp, but quickly realized I was missing out on different flavor nuances. With the coils I mainly use I've turned off all preheat on my mods, and range in temps from 390-490°F. On the 3 color mods in use (Replay only) they're 52-56 watts and the boost is anywhere from 2-4. Mind you, on a titanium coil, I can easily blast to temp in .2 seconds, you know cranked to 11  for that singular note. #dull #boring #sadface

Anybody seen or used these Wotofo SMRT PnP Rebuildable Coil Kits?

Takes about a minute to rebuild. And the first thing I thought of when I first seen them, there is my rebuildable vertical coil! I'm sure the mesh works fine and all, but you will run out of mesh at some point. But we will always be able to find wire after the vapocalypse. And it looks perfect for vertical coil builds to me.

When I first saw them, they fit into any device that takes PnP coils. But they are generally pod mods. And I wasn't interested in buying a pod mod. But later I found that Dovpo made an Abyss bridge for PnP coils. Plus SXK has a PCTG ETU tank that takes PnP coils and it is boro size that fits the Billet Box, Supbox, etc. Ok now I'm going in. :D

I reviewed the Wotofo SMRT Kit that uses the Smrt coil back in march and still use it today in 3 other devices as well because it's compatible with 3 manufacturers coil line ( WOTOFO, VOOPOO AND VAPORESSO GTX ). This is by far the easiest drop in coil rebuilding kit I've found. The flavor and vapor are indistinguishable from the factory drop in coils from these 3 manufacturers. I'll leave a link for the review of the Wotofo SMRT that I did where I explain and show a step by step process of rebuilding the coil as well. It's a great coil rebuilding system.
