Friday morning:
Here is a story that is hard to believe. I got out my Vapecig VTbox 200 with the OG TGT4. I'm trying to keep the mods in my bag at storage levels. So I'm thinking this one needs just a little more charge so I can use it a litle bit. So I plug it into my laptop and device monitor says 1 cell is 5.8 volts another is 2.48, ect. I do a reboot and it changes which cell is the high one. I open it up and disconnect/connect the 12 v connector. Now it shows one cell down to .14 volts. I then remove the battery and measure off the JST and all cells are 3.89 volts. Plug it all back together and it works fine. A bad connection or ? at the JST plug.....or rebooted that famous TI chip. Reading over 5 volts sure sounds like the chip. Did I just discover a "fix" ?
10-01-23 I missed it, here's what really must have been the problem:
While I was still at work I got out my vape Cige 200 and battery bank to check charging rate. The 200 had the same problem as before so I proceeded to remove the battery. That's when I found what the problem really was (I think). The positive wire off the battery had a cold joint and came off. Heat shrink must have been keeping it touching. So when I got home I pulled out the original battery as it already had the connector on it. The OE battery had zero swelling and voltage measured 11.33. I installed it and it didn't have enough amps to even power the board with no atty. DM showed balanced cells but really low charge amps. It did power up with USB. I resoldered the wire to the plug on the Turnigy battery and all is well again. At this point I don't know if I had 1 or 2 problems, time will tell but I think it was that cold joint.

I decided to have another look at my original lipo that came with my Vape Cige 200. I got out my 12 volt test light and it lit it no problem. After using the test light for awhile I checked it's voltage and it hadn't dropped. Next I got a piece of solid light gauge wire about 2 inches long and secured on end into the batteries plug. With my hemostats I directed the other end of the wire to the other side of the plug and got good arching. Must have been a poor connection between the two halves of the plug.
