so, my husband "joem86" had ordered his e-cig and i was for the most part skeptical about it. After he recieved his products in the mail i actually tried it and was instantly hooked. That same day i ordered my own. It is hard for us to share just the two and we also have different taste when it comes to flavors. Am expecting mine tomorrow! Can't wait to see if it works for me as good as it does for him! He had smoked maybe three cigarettes in the past three days! I am not ready to quit but am optimistic about using the e-cig in place of regular cigarettes since it is so convenient. Talk to you all soon:)

good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations and I hope this works for you and your husband......when I got mine I only had the aspirations of cutting down on my smoking but after a month of using the e-cig I quit !!.....that was 2 years ago in May.

That is totally awesome!!! i am happy for you! i hope to get there, but am not going to put any restrictions on myself. Figured that that would probably be setting myself up for failure.

A big CONGRATS to you and your hubby, dollphace1980! I bought kits for myself and hubby about 4 weeks ago for our 21st anniversary. Hubby's is collecting dust, while I've already moved from an eGo-T to an Apollo Vtube. I'm so thankful I discovered vaping; it truly has made it very easy to quit analogs. I don't miss 'em one bit, and I've been a smoker for over 30 years.

ECF ROCKS!!!

That really is truly awesome to me! Why is it that your husband isn't using his? Just didn't like it? Stubborn? LOL! No, but on a serious note, I would love to know what happened with him and why he decided against them

I got mine today. Have smoked about five cigarettes, but is still less than it usually is. Realized that I was at about a pack and a half at this point...yikes! Glad to hear that you figured out what works best for you two. It really is all different for each person I think.

I think that is great that you are smoking less cigarettes. I too only cut down on the amount I was smoking until today. I was a pack and 1/2 a day smoker myself. For the past 2 weeks I have had no more than 4 cigarettes per day. I am now smoke free though.

Congrats on your success! I enjoy reading stories like this. I started out gradually replacing more and more regular smoking with ecigs and when the last pack I had ran out, I was totally good by that point. I hope you have similar or even better success in your journey!

Welcome to ECF! I'm not exactly a poster child for switching from smoking to vaping, but found a few things that work when I actually do them. One is to remember now every time I want a smoke that I have 3 choices: I can vape, or smoke, or wait & decide later. Before vaping I never gave myself a choice and as a result I'd have one lit with no memory of taking it out & lighting it. Another thing is to remind myself that every cigarette I *don't smoke* is a little victory and a BIG WIN! When I do these things my smoking slows 'way down. Best of luck, & be Blessed! 8)

I'm thinking....STUBBORN! Or maybe it's the 'contraption' itself? All I get is an 'I don't know why'. I'm thinking he's not liking the techie aspect of it. He has such an aversion to anything tech-related, so maybe it's all the fiddling and figuring you need to do to find your vaping bliss....

I just keep on vaping and hopefully he'll catch on. I make yummy sounds in hopes that will trigger his want-to-vape :)

See, I'm the opposite..I love the gadgets. :D

But, even so...a good PV is pretty easy to use IMO. Ya just have to remember it's not a cig and embrace the learning curve. I think it helped me that I'd been RYO for many years, so "fiddling with things" is a bit natural for me.

I'm the techie, hubby is not at all ;) I tried to show him how easy it was, but I think he just isn't ready to give up analogs yet.

My mindset was 'quitmode' 100%, so when I starting vaping with the eGo-T in May I was eager to 'fiddle and tweak' it to my liking. I've already moved on to a VV mod and really loving it! I'm such a techie, I'm thinking of building my own mod... I'm a digital artist/designer so I think I could bring a little bling to the mod mix ;)

Yeah, I got into vaping with the mindset of *I have to quit, I don't have to hate doing it*.

My apt building is banning smoking as of July, so I had few choices...but vaping gives me many now. :)

Yeah, I figged from yer username ya might be into the gfx..woohoo! I've used PS since v3 on a 386...lol!
PV's are awesome that way as we get to have the geeky gear to play with and enjoy all the flavors too. =)

Yeah, I pulled out my VOM to measure my carto and makes me think how easy it'd be to make a mod.... :D
