Expensive drip tips - am I missing something?

So, I've been lite on my forum checking for a year, and am now back to heavy use (Classifieds... why can't I quit you?) and I've noticed the drip tips have gotten PSYCHOTICALLY EXPENSIVE. Don't get me wrong - these $40 tips are downright sexy, but is there a reason besides aesthetics to get them? (And I will get some at some point for JUST that reason...). I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on some cool new trick to improve my vape!

There are some with adjustable inner diameters and also carb holes.

A lot of them are handmade and quite unique. Such as trippy tips. Each one is hand done and you'll never get another like it. So you pay a premium price.
