Has anyone tried vaping base liquid? In germany, you can get a 250ml bottle without any flavour for 8,90 € and a 10ml bottle with flavour costs almost 5 €.

So my question is, if vaping base liquid is okay in terms of taste since it is much cheaper. Anyone got a tip how to decant the liquid to a smaller bottle with a needle on top without making a big mess?

Vaping unflavored liquid tastes like a light cigarette. For decanting, that would depend on the bottle you have. I use 120 ml bottles with a top that lets me fill up my little bottles.

Unflavored tastes good (to me) I use it a often.

To decant, look around your house and see if you don't have a shampoo bottle or something that has a small hole that will fit the threads of your base bottle. (Wash VERY well!)

If it comes down to finding nothing that will work, you can heat an ice pick or metal skewer and make a small hole in the cap of your base.
To cap it when finished, you can take off the cap, put a piece of plastic wrap on it, then replace the cap.

There are a lot of folk who vape unflavored, i.e. base liquid, just nic, PG and VG. Depends on what you want in flavor. Some prefer it, some don't. But worth a try!

As for decanting to smaller bottles... maybe just thoroughly clean a measuring cup and use it? (DO shake the source bottle well first, to make sure all the components are well mixed!)

You just have to remove the needle tip. some of them look like they are all one piece but that needle tip will come off.

D'Oh! Forgot about that part. I just assume people know that. (Hi Matt :))
Hi back at cha Princess :) Yep, sometimes the simplest things are easiest to over look and some of those bottles do look like they are all one piece.

I have vaped nic base (100mg/ml) in both pg and vg.

I've vaped straight vg.

I've vaped straight pg.

I've vaped unflavored joose.

I recommend unflavored.

For the DIYer, I recommend trying pg and vg by themselves to get a taste for them.

As for pouring it into a smaller bottle for use, you can use a small funnel or a 20 ml syringe with a 16 gauge blunt luer lock needle.

I use Unflavored e-Liquids occasionally. They are not too bad.

Maybe Not what I want to use everyday. But not Bad either. A Nice chance of Pace.

Syringe is the simplest way to transfer liquids.
They are available in many sizes: 1ml, 3ml, 5ml, 10ml, 20ml, etc.
Blunt needles work well on the syringes and are Safe for use.
Rinse in/with Hot water after use.

Base e-liquid? Is this PG, or VG, or PV/VG and does it contain Nicotine?
No Nic Base can be easily Flavored.
Nic base would be slightly diluted be adding Flavoring.

Unflavored is great to vape.

As was already said, big syringe with big needle is good for transferring liquids.
Another (old and tested) way - if you have a narrow stick, like macrame needle or chopstick - is to put a stick in the empty bottle so that it will not touch its edges, and slowly to pour liquid along the stick so that mouth of full bottle touchces a stick.
Finally if you have nothing at hand and do not mind to spill 1-2 ml of juice for a fist try (I spill no more than 0.5 ml doing it) you can just to pour liquid from full bottle into narrow-mouth bottle. Just do it slowly and keep full bottle at least 1 inch above an empty one. I do it all the time, I directly pour my juice from wide mouth 125 ml bottle into eyedropper bottles because I hate to wash syringes.

I was paying $12 for a 30ml (plastic) bottle of flavored juice. I recently found a 125 ml (amber, glass) bottle of PG/VG/nic for $8. A few small bottles of flavor cost me less than $10. So that's about $18 for a bit more of the amount of juice that would've cost me close to $50. There was a shipping cost addition, but I had to buy several other pieces of hardware, and a 'digital coupon' that I used covered most of the shipping cost. I ended up paying a $1 and change for the shipping. I might have to buy some more hardware in a few months, but I won't need any more liquid for probably at least 7 or 8! I have about 75 mls of flavored juice left, so that's close to two months right there. I have used a bit of the unflavored, both by itself and with some flavor added, to see what it was like. I'm liking this whole thing (vaping) more and more!! ;)
