Should i be concerned that there is no venting hole on my Ego C battery,ive heard stories of batteries giving of fumes and exploding.

The eGo batteries don't have vent holes. As long as you use the right charging cable, it should be safe.
I only use ego batteries and never see any holes. I believe vents are for ones that house batteries you can take out and charge. Like mods.
eGo's have exploded. A couple users here have posted here about their eGo's exploding while being charged.
actually exploding? or venting and leaking? i have run across several posts about melt downs but never an actual explosion which is quit violent.
anyways if it was a regular thing we wouldnt buy them so just pay attention when you charge them and follow safety guidelines, like the correct charger, dont leave all day when they are charging etc.

I know for a fact the bottom wont blow out on the Ego batt,i repaired a batt last week and i had to remove the cap,it took a lot of force to knock the cap off,i used a bolt and tapped the cap off by poking thru the tube with great force, thankfully i i didnt distrort or damage the cap.
Definitely with DC2 on this 'un. I've never heard of an eGo batt s'plodin' using da appropriate charger. I assure ya that my many variations haven't.

If it were to happen, which is extremely rare, it were to happen during a charge. The battery didn't actually explode, it vented and the cylinder body shot off like a torpedo. That is why Joye recommends charging the battery on a safe surface and not to leave unattended. I know that the batteries and charging cable both have circuitry to prevent this from happening.
There was a user here who posted a video of the remains of his eGo after it exploded while charging on a usb port on his computer. I say exploded because it did blow the bottom out with force and there was burning in the immediate area. Sounds like an explosion to me, but I wasn't there.
There was another a month or so back from a Vendor who's customer wanted a refund because their customer tried charging their eGo in the bathroom while showering and it exploded.

ok well cool but thats like what 5 or 6 out of several million or so at this point? so i wouldnt worry bout it myself.

This is why i charge mine in the wall at least 20 feet away from me and NEVER leave it unattended.
I also have to say, the way he was laughing and giggling the entire video it makes me wonder if something wasn't done to create this effect in the first place? Maybe that's just me?
I come from the flashlight side of things, we like sealed things, we want our lights to work in the rain, snow and in 3ft of water! We've gone for years without vents and have had very few instances of battery explosions. Yes, there have been some, but when you figure in the number of flashlights out that use rechargeable batteries vs. how many have exploded, it's a very slight risk.

I don't know about any exploding. However, the first week I joined ECF, there were 4 different posts where people reported their Ego's sizzled.
I remember on threw it out the door. A couple of them their EGO was sitting on a table or desk and started sizzling. I recall a post where a PV started a bed on fire. It scared me enough to ensure I don't leave them just anywhere. If I misplace one, I immediately hunt it down.

I never had a batt explode before, but I did have a charger cable "explode" in half. Back when I only had a 510 kit with atomizers and a black drip tip one day when I plugged my charger in the cable popped real loud and actually had a "mini explosion". It literally blew apart and looked like a mixture of a very, very tiny explosion and a really big spark at the same time. It scared the crap out of me because I was still touching the cable (it happened pretty much instantly as soon as I plugged it in) at the time. I never figured out what did it or why but luckily there's tobacco shops in town that sell Hot Vapes gear/juice/etc. and I was able to drive 10 minutes and buy a new charger or I would have been screwed! This was about a year and a half ago when I first moved back to VA, as I used nothing but my Joyetech 510 kits for about 8-9 months before stepping up to the big leagues and I had no backup stuff at all. I actually went in tonight to grab a few 12mL bottles so I could have some more good juice to vape over Christmas and saw a Hot Vapes Bombshell (not the Stinger, original Bombshell). I was tempted to get it even though I have absolutely no need for it, hehe. Until I saw the price that is...
