I might be wrong but I believe HC has stated they won't be carrying the eGo-C Upgrade as they felt there was no real advantage over the regular eGo-C and would only confuse customers.
Yes, I saw that, and, as the 3rd supplier I've seen that has decided protection circuits aren't profitable.
I'll buy the TWIST if it has the circuitry, but it doesn't come as a PT.
AFAIK all Joyetech eGo-C batteries have the protection circuitry, be the regular Joyetech eGo-C, the Upgrade or the Twist. Emphasis on JOYETECH.

The *exact* same thing just happened to me. I've had my eGo-T just over a week. Plugged it into the wall charger and about 30 mins later I heard a big bang, rushed into the kitchen and it was boiling hot. The button had melted and it had scorch marks down the side.

Were all of your parts factory Joyetech?
This is happening far too much to be a fluke. And it definitely worth using a LiPo charging bag, especially if you use this model which seems to be more prone to explosions than other systems.
