I agree 100%. This is confirmed via the various threads I see posted over in the new members forum. And that is by no means a knock on that forum...just some of the people that post there. Specifically in regards to mechs and batts.
The end result of this incident is that event sponsors might just see a sharp increase in the price of liability insurance.
Also because of this incident, an event sponsor would be out of their ever lovin' mind not to have liability insurance.

That question, of getting thru to "kids," is probably the $64,000 question of the ages.
Having been an extremely foolish youth myself, I'll stand by that. It's really a bloody miracle I'm still here.

Oh yeah, ditto for me. I'm still not sure how ,I or my parents, survived my childhood.
For those that don't like this thread consider that it have gotten a number of dangerous videos bounce from YouTube, brought awareness to what can happen if you don't know what you are doing and shown that a large chunk of the vaping community are responsible vapers and want to help educate those whose knowledge is lacking. There are links to this thread from other sites and, hopefully, people who might not otherwise come to ECF or be aware of how dangerous a venting battery can be, now are and just might join our little community.

As of a couple hours ago, none of that idiot's videos had been removed yet. I reported most of them & reported his account as well. The one with the venting battery that someone said was deleted yesterday was not deleted. The age restriction was there before he was mentioned on this thread as well.
Yeah... And many Venues may not want to Rent Out their Facilities to a Future Vape Meets. Especially if there is going to be a Cloud Blowing Contest.
Looked up " Renaissance-Faire-style belt pocket," those are cool! I spend a lot of time running around in the brush so a deep pocket is more practical for me.

ETA: You're right, it is there and not restricted any more either. When I looked yesterday it had been removed. YouTube is a lot dumber than I gave them credit for. Frankly, I find it outrageous and hope they are held accountable when somebody blows themselves, or worse, somebody else, up.

This is probably true. However I don't know if you noticed this the other day, but when the first video was posted the views for ALL his videos have gone up since then. I remember seeing 2 on his channel that had 0 views. Not now though. I'm pretty sure that's the reason he keeps making them. :/
If they're not posted here then there probably won't be as many people watching them (which is a good thing imo).

How do you report an account? I reported the videos but didn't know how to do that.
It was really difficult to find it. Click on the user name under the video to go to their page. Go to the About tab. Click on the little flag. I forget what the options are, but something about the user. Not a clue where I went from there. There was a lot of following some links & backtracking part of the way until I finally was able to report him & fill out a comment field to explain why.
I like the way de jay got 122 Thumbs Down for his Last Video. And Only 1 Thumbs Up.

Photos and comments have been all over the web for days, predictably so. Playing a game of pretend that the explosion did not happen by placing one's head firmly in the sand with .... prominently in the air will do nothing to help with ANTZ.
Taking effective action to try to prevent repeat performances of the the explosion requires facts. The promoters have chosen not to share those facts leaving, any prevention efforts to the tender mercies of speculation.
