Oh Canada
Hey guys i began using one of these lastnight. It worked great for maybe a half hour then "bam" no vapor, the LED still lights but thats it. Is thing fried or is there anything I can do to fix it?? I was using it on my LT playing with the voltage, noticed a drop in vapor production so I upped the voltage then it stopped altogether. Any ideas?

Ouch, sounds like you might have popped the coil :(
I'd be really careful in going over 4.5 volts with these. They really work better at lower temperatures.

In the future, if you're vaping along on a Vision and get dry spots the fix is simple.
Pull the cap off and put it back on.
That lets some air in, and it should go right back to making plumes of vape almost instantly then.

What is happening is this:
The Vision actually uses your draw to pull liquid onto the atomizer. At some point a near vacume like pressure can accumulate inside the carto and it just doesn't wick as well with the vacume. If you're a fast/hard drawer, it's more common than using a slow and easy draw style.

If you're getting this terribly often, grab some tweezers or a loop of wire and pull the inside seal up just a wee bit. That will let a little air flow both ways through the slots just over the wicks. For most of us this isn't needed, but for folks that like to suck pretty hard and fast (and there is nothing wrong with this...it's just a matter of preference) giving the carto a little extra breathing room in that seal can help. A more radical approach is to put a pin hole or two in the top soft seal (bottom side of the mouth piece).

could have possibly burnt out the carto by raising the voltage too high, the LT is supposed to have protection from doing that but I have heard some stories of people shorting out attys/cartos on their LT

I've popped a Vision or two on my Darwin. I took off a dual coil set to 12 watts and put on the Vision and forgot to dial it down! An almost instant 'pop' :( Oh well...live and learn. When I'm more careful these things last and last and last.

Hmm ... so the Ego 650 mah and 1000 mah batteries should be good to go with these then? Man ... can't say I'm having the best of experience with these babies. Thought maybe it was the batteries as they are (I believe) known to be more of a 3.2V than a true 3.7V (correct?) so was wondering if that was the problem. On the one I have RY4 in, I have about 1/2 a tank of juice and all of a sudden I started getting a lot of gurgling again, no real flavor or vapor. This time I know it's not because it is over-filled. Played with the cup a bit and the gurgling has stopped but ... just not getting the flavor punch from these that I was hoping for.

I got that too with 'some' flavors. Fortunately I mix my own and just up the flavor a bit.

Mine have never gurgled.
Maybe play around with the plugs in the whistle tip? There are one or two in there you can remove to open up the draw even more.

Not sure who's RY4 your using in it but I find that sweet juices do really well in them.
Personally I never liked any tobacco type flavours in these.

It's MLV's Arggh Why 4 which I have really been enjoying - great caramel and vanilla overtones to it. What voltage do you use with your Extremes?

Hmm ... vaping after brushing your teeth ... now there's always a unique flavor experience! :)

ps - I know Mindfield has a video on modding the other versions but saw the other day where he was majorly impressed with the Extreme Visions and wasn't sure what, if any, modding it needed. Been waiting to see a review of his on these and what his suggestions are. Was hoping to not have to get in to any modding of them but ... maybe ...

I usually use them around 4.2v - 4.6v before load. That seems to be the sweet spot for the ones i have. They are measuring around 2.7 ohms.

Sucking on cinnamon on the latest version (frosted ones)...cin and absinthe made the totally clear ones crack (but never suffered leaks) :/

But good news,I was a bit worried that the led effect would be lame on the frosted ones (I am so nerdy,I know)...love my toys...oh well...anyways,the led effect is better distributed along the frosted cylinders, they are lit from top to bottom :)

Okay ... this is it. No more b**tching and whining about these Visions. Need to give it a couple of days to break me (not them!) in. Apologies to all you great people who respond to me ... do not mean to be such a pain in the patootie. Feeling a little stressed about a few things and notice that I am panicking about stuff I shouldn't be. I will 'zip it up' for now!!
