Gotta really be careful with high voltage on these things. I'm just rendering my review of them now (still a couple of hours to go) but in it, you'll see when I do the high voltage experiment and hit it at 5.7V for the first time, the entire top of the Vision starts glowing. Apparently I hadn't tipped it enough to feed it enough juice, and it burned dry for a couple of seconds. But it lit up the entire top of the damn Vision. I came quite close to popping it, but luckily I didn't.

It sounds to me like you might well have popped the coil unfortunately.

Looking forward to your review, Mindfield.

Set aside some time. It's 30 minutes long. :D (Roughly the last half is the high voltage experiment though, which is a lot of me adjusting voltage, fiddling with the cup seal a bit to increase juice flow, and chain vaping.)

Okay ... this is it. No more b**tching and whining about these Visions. Need to give it a couple of days to break me (not them!) in. Apologies to all you great people who respond to me ... do not mean to be such a pain in the patootie. Feeling a little stressed about a few things and notice that I am panicking about stuff I shouldn't be. I will 'zip it up' for now!!

No worries. Sometimes ya get one that just doesn't work right. Or you simply don't like it. Nothing wrong with you for it. That's why there's so much stuff out there to choose from :)

I really like using them, but i will have to admit i do not and have not had the same flavor punch from a vision as say a boge cartomizer, it is close but not the same, i get massive clouds of vapor though. I have done Mindfields Mods, and i did notice some difference. I do find that as others have suggested, lifting the cup seal a little bit makes a big difference, but does allow that juice to flood the tube and make for some gurgling, but i will accept that as i get more flavor. I do have to blow it out every once in a while and also blow out the mouthpiece as i find that i get alot of condensation in there. Myself and my friend both got out cartomainia kits from canvape the other day, and the first thing he asks me is why he cant get any flavor out of the vision lol. so i lifted his cup seal and sent him home, i will have to get his opinion on whether it made a difference. Ramble over.

Oh Canada
Hey guys thanks for the feedback. Well I did notice that there was a orange glow at the top then it died shortly afterwards. I took the top off and found that I did indeed pop the coil. Oh well I had 2 of them so it's not a big deal and I learned something from it. I do quite enjoy these but I will say that flavor wise they don't blow me away. Cheers and thanks again

I love the vision. I find if you let it get down to 1/3 full though, you have slight burning taste, I just quickly flip it upside down and back up again and it's good for a bit. I have a 900mah battery and vape at the highest setting which I think is 4.2 haven't had a problem yet but I don't think I would vape any higher than that. As for the hard draw, the plastic thing that's in the mouthpiece when you take it off could be in too far and that tightens the draw. Make sure that you have it just put in place so to speak. You will get gurgling occasionally, to combat that just remove the mouthpiece and dab it on a papertowel and your good to go.

Thanks for the tips! I think they are starting to 'come together' for me now anyway. For the past few hours haven't had a single problem with them and I've been vaping them pretty hard. ;) Don't seem to have the knack for fiddling with things and have a tendency to make things worse rather than better whenever I do - hence the paranoia for even attempting!

i love playing with things electronic! Which is part of the reason i even started vaping :) I cannot build anything with wood or fix engines though, ask me to take an iphone apart on the other hand and i am all over it haha.

Dont worry FisherPal and Sec looks like i'm having the same problems with my Vision I've been using it for about 3 days, did'nt pop the coil but sometimes the draw gets very tight and other times i get the gurgling.:(

Mindfield put his review of the Extreme up last night. It's full of great info for us Vision newbies and I highly recommend you watch it. Learned a lot about how to use these (never having had any of the Visions before). It's made a LOT of difference to my enjoyment of these. Now I am beginning to understand exactly why people love them so much and how to get the most out of it. Also how to stop the 'gurgling', lol. Need to get me a VV battery though for even better enjoyment!

ive spent alot of time figuring all these things out...sometimes like buddy said..the rubber piece is suffocating the wick so it needs room to breathe a bit and once i even had the LED light grounder wire not completely touching the side wall and it didnt want to put out like it should..and dont fill over 70 percent -80 percent also ego 1100 mah works the best

i have 5 of these they all zap flavour & give minimal vapour. i have tried different flavours vg/pg mix and theres a problem every clearomiser, every juice, i notice the ones i have i got from LF there is below the mouthpiece a long silver pipe that goes into the seal and into the mouthpiece. on the device in this video, Review of the Vision Ego Cartomizer (Stardust) for Electronic Cigarettes - YouTube, it has no silver pipe, can anyone shed any light on this and let me know if that is the culprit, or if there is another reason why none of them are working for me, im having a bloody nightmare lately, 6 packets of crap boges and 5 dodgy visions, seems a bit weird as everyone else is in vaping heaven, im even tempted to pull out my old e cig with the orange prefilled cartos..............thnx xxx

That silver spike is just to prevent juice from going down the center air tube when filling

I just used one for like 5 days and busted out a new one. The old one got real gurgly and didn't seem to wick as well. Maybe it was too gooey with rootbeer whatever. Washed out the old one, I hope it makes it better.

You could also vape a bit of pure VG for a lil while in the old ones
