I switched from cigarettes (roll ups) to e-cigs 7 weeks ago today. Everything is lovely but - 2 weeks ago I developed a twitch in my left lower eyelid that is driving me potty.

I've Googled it, and I'm not the only one to develop this annoying eye twitch a month in to vaping, but no one seems to have pinned down the reason or cure.

Much as it's against my very being to attribute anything negative to vaping - I really love it and it's changed my life and health so amazingly - it is definitely, 100% sure, caused by vaping. It is not caused by tiredness/stress/neurological problems/computer screen overuse, etc.

The trouble is, I don't know which aspect of vaping is the culprit - is it the brand I use, the strength, the flavour, the PG?

So does anyone here have any similar experiences and/or have they found a cure? Knowing what you use would be interesting also:
I use Liberro Realis with their Liquid Purity Maple Cured juice at 18mg.

Thanks

Pauly

I can't say how different people react and I won't say that you shouldn't be concerned. I'm fairly new to all this, but:

Correlation does not imply causation. Eye twitches can come from any number of things. Stress, tiredness, eye strain, caffeine, alcohol, dry eyes, nutritional imbalances, allergies. These all come up on searches unless you specifically add ecig, it's been happening to folks for a long time. On top of that you are still taking in nicotine, an "upper" which just adds to it all. I'd guess your body is used to the reduced nicotine by now, so that probably isn't adding much stress any more.

Ecigs aside, if it's been going steady for 2 weeks I'd consider seeing a gp if you can. I've had a twitch for a few days and it's nothing fun, but 14+ seems a bit beyond the scope of "normal" to me.

Occasionally I get that too.
I’m not too concerned because I’ve had that happen even before I started vaping. For me it occurs mostly when vaping a bit too much. My eye feels a tad dry and I attribute it to too much nic, not enough sleep and possibly the vapor drying my eyes out a bit. It doesn’t happen often enough or severe enough for me to make a special appointment though.
