My lower eyelid has been twitching a few times an hour for about a week now. I don't know if this is a side effect of anything like pg but it is getting really annoying. I have been staying hydrated. Anyone else get any eyelid twitches. I read a little on google and read that that are common to a lot of people. I just was wondering if this is a nicotine side effect or just due to my poor sleep habits

I had it for a while when I started vaping. Ended after 2 or 3 weeks. I blame the chain vaping to get over the analogs.

that may be because the day it happened to me it was a rainy day when i sat in front of the computer and chain vaped...hasnt happened again tho i did get a headache behind that same eye as kelsey was saying above so i think the two may be connected....idk id rather deal with an occasional eye twitch than go back to old school smokes

I think you might just be experiencing a muscle fasciculation. These are muscle twitches, which cover a relatively small area and can occur at any point on the body. They are nothing to be concerned about and perfectly normal, to my understanding. They can last awhile and I'm not really sure what causes them. I have been vaping for almost 2 years and get them occasionally (had one on the upper side of my forarm that was driving me nuts, for several days in a row, recently) but no different than before I started.

I never twitched before vaping in my life however vaping caused me to twitch, so said I and my Dr. I stopping vaping when I couldn't find a way to stop all the side effects, like twitching, I was having. All the side effects are gone. Some find a solution, others don't.

I hope you find what works for you! Vaping saved me from Analogs!

I have had intermittent eye twitching ALL of my life. Sometimes it's the upper lid sometimes the lower. I cant personally say that vaping has made it worse. My mother once went to the DR because of a week straight of eye twitching.(she didn't vape) What she found out...She had an eye infection picked up from the elementary school she worked at.

I had the same problem, eventually it went away and I haven't had any for a long while. Check out this post here, a biochemist gives an attempt of explaining what may be causing it.

Hi,

im a biochemist and here is my theory, propylene glycol is metabolised to lactic acide in the body, this results in a decreased PH (more acidic) blood or
lactic acidosis, the shift in ph has an effect on minerals in the body and the metabolism of minerals since minerals can only bind at a specific PH. This would result in a loss of Mg++ ions which in turn causes cramping and the twitching you are describing. My advice would be to take a Ca++ / Mg++ supplement to avoid the twitching and to keep your blood ph in tact. The glycerin is taking this one step further though, same principle though. Our bodies are reacting the same way as someones body would react after serious excersise, this is not deadly but you are getting mineral depleted. If any of you where wondering yes I also have the left eye twitch:) I would not worry about this at all, the only time you need to worry is if you are experiencing paplipations, but this would most probably be the nicotine, but if you are smoking nicotine free propylene glycol and you get palps it means your mineral balance is completely messed up.

it would be nice if someone who vapes could go for a blood ph test to confirm my theory, im 98% sure this is what is happening thoug....

take care!
