Just happened to check facebook and saw that it was over.
I also thought it was a Random.org giveaway.

I can't believe that I didn't at least get some sort of email notification from FB... and I thought it was gonna be a random drawing, too!!
It would be nice if they had made the rules a little more clear... but it's just one more reason to hate Facebook... LOL!!
I don't know why all of the suppliers are so gung-ho on getting on FB now, when it's been dying out for a long time... especially with all of the changes they made recently, it's gotten even worse!!
I don't spend much time on there anymore and all of my friends think I have 'vaporized'...

I have never heard of that site before, i now have it bookmarked for facebook givaways.
As for facebook notifications, im not sure how those work with particular contests?

I am not sure how to "fix" what happened here. As far as facebook goes, I have no idea how to send out notifications to everyone. I guess it would have been better if something was posted on the wall a day or 2 before the question was posted. I am sure there were people all over the world that were trying to get in on the contest. That is all I have for now but I might think of something else

There is nothing "fair" about Facebook... LOL!! Like some of these contests where the person/photo/comment that gets the most 'likes' wins, is nothing more than a popularity contest, and the average person (or the most talented) doesn't stand a chance.
I think a lot of people signed up on FB with the impression that it would be a random drawing, and that might have been because the rules were not made very clear... As boring as it may seem, a random drawing levels the playing field and gives everyone an equal chance at winning...
but then again, there's no pleasing everyone!!
I'm actually surprised that you have never heard of Random.org before, since it is the favorite way of determining contest results for a lot of the other suppliers on the ECF... I guess you learn something new every day...
The only way to make things right is to just learn from your mistakes, and make it better next time!! (or you could always just hold a new drawing now... ha!!)

MonsterKenny - I can't speak for anyone else, but I was under the impression that the contest was being held here on ECF; and the only part Facebook played in it was measuring the "Likes" to countdown the start of the contest. In other words, 'Go like our page' and when we hit 2000, the ECF members who helped us reach that # will be entered into a drawing.
I'm not gonna boo you, it's still generous of you to give away a prize. But the rules weren't very clear, and obviously upsetting to the people that drove up the numbers of "Likers" on your FB page.

I totally agree with you!! They have always been quite generous with their contests, but this time it went to another supplier, and I'm not sure that was entirely fair...
Someone started another contest thread, and I was over there trying to be the voice of reason... LOL!!
