Superman and Keith, hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think the cyclone AFC appears to be done. No new ones from VA as far as I know.

I think I might have read that they are replacing it? A new model or something? I am really excited and somewhat expecting some new BF attys to hit the market, even though I am back home now and have access to my dremel........ thinking.....

Taki... I dont currently sub. I dont know if I care to, but maybe you guys can help me... I use 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos on fresh 18650 batteries in a madvapes "bolt" that I call a battery holder (pretty accurate). I am really craving more vapor and flavor. I have looked at the comparison pics for size and I really like the mini, it makes the difference for me. I am pretty active in work and off work and carrying anything but a cigalike is really a stretch for me, but im craving more than I am getting from sub-par hardware. Will the mini with good batteries and a good build give me some burly vapor?

Okay if my calculations are correct on the 15 amp Efest (purple 18500) batteries you can down to ~0.40 and still only be at around 10 amps. Before the sub kits I was pretty happy at 0.8 on a single coil. Goof vapor and flavor. For reference, a buddy of mine used to vape cartos. As soon as he got his Reo they became back ups only lol.

Yeah that's what I heard too, new model. That being said I really like the flush look on the AFC Cyclone and LP Grand. Cosmetic yes, but it's gotta look good right :p

Facehole, you DEF needs a Reo :) The mini is SO TINY its amazing!

On AW IMR 18490 you have a 15A C rating, so you can try out builds 0.5 and up without worry.

Def get an RM2 - super easy to build on and it has a lot of space to work with which helps. Once you find the coil build you like you will only have to dryburn and rewick it regularly. I've never reached a point where I HAVE to recoil, I usually just go 3-4 weeks and get a wild hair and make a new build, these coils last MUCH longer than cartos or commercial atty heads.

Loving all the info... I guess I need a multimeter to check coil resistance... Anyone care to recommend one?
I have the $22.49 Sears multimeter. Tested it against a few friends meters and is right on. Plus you can use it to test the electric fence around the mailbox to protect the Perkins Paste from the cats.

I ordered! Black LP mini 2.1 & LP reomizer. Ordering my ohm meter, and looking for some insight on batteries... Im under the impression that I need protected batteries... It seems like those are not nearly as available at most suppliers... Can someone point me to good batteries for this mod?

I think the AW IMR 18490 1100mah are the standard for the mini. RTD Vapor is where a lot of people get their batteries from. Never Ebay. RTD are always authentic.

the regular RM2 is milled to fit the regular Reos. regular RM2 will fit (awkwardly) on the LP Reo.

the LP RM2 is not-milled, and only fits on the LP Reos. you can PM Rob via ECF and special order a brass LP RM2.

go LP if you want to try different BF atty's.

personally, I'm not interested in anything but the RM2, but I may get an LP set just to have one. will start saving my pennies when the Super Light LP Mini 2.1 is a thing.

So the RM2 does not really work with the LP Reo? Did I read it wrong?!? That's very well a possibility!

No it doesn't. The LP (Low Profile) REOs have a bigger catch cup (unmilled) so you'd have to purchase the LP RM2 to fit.

The regular RM2 is too small for the catch cup.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I think i'm set, and will post pics/results when it all goes down. The hardest part is deciding what NT juice to fill up with first.... Who am I kidding? Well steeped virus for sure.

Virus - that's all I would ever put in it, LMAO

That is the obvious dilemma...

I thought I was out of questions, dead wrong...

Can I put a dripping atty on there for tasting juices and just forego the squonking?

Also, what kinda ohms should I shoot for on my first build? I was thinking .8 , just estimating that I am looking for twice the vapor that I get from a 1.5 carto. I have meandered the mech and sub ohm threads and *think* I know the precautions... Protected batteries, testing the ohms first... Anything else?
