That is funny sh**! I was vaping in the back of a restaurant the other evening and somebody said to me that smoking is not allowed in here. I just looked at her and said "Thank God"! She looked so stunned that she turned away and didn't say another word. I don't make a habit of vaping in a restaurant but the service was so slow and it was raining outside. I just took a couple of puffs and put it back in my pocket. What was so funny about the whole incident was that her husband/boyfriend said he loved the smell of the vapor. I was vaping graham cracker juice.
It's funny you should mention vaping in a restaurant. I was at a country themed bar the other night and I politely asked a bartender if it was alright if I used mine inside and he was just flabberghasted I would even ask before I did it. He was like "Most people don't even ask around here. They just assume it's okay. Of course you can." Goes to show you that asking is always the best policy. The worst they can say is no.
As to OP's post, I haven't run into the ignoramus yet, but I'm assured the drunktard in town will show up soon. It ALWAYS happens. I had a genuinely interested guy smoking a dog turd of a cigar the other night and I actually had ask him to set his cigar to the side, it was making me nauseous. Just noxious as all hell.

I will never forget the experience I had similar to that on a bus with an old lady (back when it was still socially acceptable to vape in public places). She asked me about my device, found out it was an ecig, condoned me quitting cigarettes.... Then complained through my entire trip that it smelled like cigarettes even though I explained the ingredients to her and even told her what flavor I was vaping (fruit stripe). I could only figure maybe she thought it must have tobacco in it because it had browned from oxidization....

My wife is allergic to and hates the smell of cigarette smoke. Can't stand to be around it at all.
We were at the local B & M the other day and the employees helping us were vaping huge clouds. Didn't bother my wife in the slightest. I vape around her all the time and get no complaints.
The person the OP was dealing with is just a complete a## and one of "those " people who aren't happy unless they are trying to ruin someone else's day

Heh! My Dad was reading a NYT article that was .....ing about something or the other, I can't honestly remember even what it was. He asked my opinion about it...
My reply was, "Why do people have to be so angry about stupid stuff all the time?".
Him being a big lib, and me being of a considerably more conservative bent, a large argument almost ensued, but I stuck to my guns. "I thought you liberals were all about live and let live. What happened?"
