Whatchoo talkin about Eddie is never out of style
I never said eddie was outta style, just the rest of the clothing that went with it. :> I've been a big hair rocker forever, and I will be till the day I die... but I work in retail, so I hafta be pretty cleancut, they'll accept the goattee, but not long hair, so I keep myself nicely trimmed up.

I think it depends on the face the facial hair is on. There are some men who look amazing with facial hair, others not so much. My hubs looks hot smooth shaven, bht there are a few gentlemen in his group who sport mustaches (beards are not u.s. military approved) and also look quite dandy. He tried growing a stash and shaved it off after getting teased by everyone he knew for growing alge on his upper lip (yes, me too. Never said I was nice).

Absolutely, without question. I have seen impeccable and stunning 'staches,
goatees and beards upon the wrong facial structure. No male mug should
be barren... it's a matter of finding out what kind of facefur "works". Of
course, that's coming from a "bear community" member... so I'm just a BIT
biased.

I do feel the goatee / shaved-head combo thing has been played out.

PS to Tribalmasters: use a straight razor. It will provide exceptional accuracy
and leave a very smooth path without any kind of "burn".

so me n my goatee are out of fashion? maybe I should grow my hair out and get the parachute pants, and some leather moccasin boots, and maybe a bandana for one of my legs? and an iron maiden shirt? oh wait.. that died 20+ years ago.. damn I guess I'm outta date.

Did you used to know me?

*sigh* I can't believe I lived through the 80's and wasn't killed for my lack of fashion sense back then..

I have your classic Sean Connery beard and stash and have for longer than he's had it. Same grey color too. Once in the Marines (I've always had a stash) I was told to shave it off for a Commanding General's inspection. Right after, my Company Commander (Captain), First Sergeant and my Platoon Sergeant all told me never to shave off the stash again. They said it made me look like I was 16 (a compliment now). I haven't shaved the stash since, once in '93 I shaved the beard, grew it right back.

BTW, in medieval times a clean shaven man was not to be trusted! Nor a man who didn't drink.
