Factory Carto Filling Method (V4L Staff??)

Here's a question that most likely can only truly be answered by the staff. If it's not a secret, can you tell me how the factory fills the carts?

Reason I ask, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice this, a prefilled cart always has a stronger flavor than taking the same juice and filling a blank cart. I used to think it had to do with how long the juice was in a cart, but not anymore. I took a fresh blank cart, filled it, spun it, and topped it off. Let it set for 4 weeks (with plug and condoms on, never removing them). After 4 weeks, it has the same flavor as just filling a blank cart, letting it sit for 30 mins, and vaping it.

The factory filled have more flavor. Only thing I can think of is, it has to be the method of filling. So HOW does the factory do this? Obviously, it has to be a very fast way since they are pumping out thousands of them per week.

Here's an idea, some kind of gadget that fills cartos for you to give that close machine like quality

BTW, the reason they are not like they were the first time you get a fresh carto is because they are meant to be disposable i am guessing.

Leaford said it's all by hand. They fill with syringe. With all the other QC issues I asked why they didn't automate it and his answer was that the labor costs were so low they didn't want to invest in the equipment, (something close to that). It was in a thread back in late December if I remember.

I'm willing to bet it's syringe by hand.

I highly doubt they'd use a machine in China vs. the cost of a person doing it. The quality control and investment breakeven point are a lot better.

If it were a machine, why not just manufacture it in the US and save the transport costs? It's because Chinese labor is less expensive.

They hold five at a time and fill them by syringe.

The juice is identical. Comes from the same batches. (But the Premium is not the same as the Regular)

there is definitely a missing factor here. no refill method that i have tried produces the "fresh carto" feel. (i have tried them all)

I'm kinda new here, but thought I recently saw a thread where a V4L rep said "the nobacco juice is *now* (emphasis mine) identical to the contents of the premium cartos", implying that it previously was not... Could this be why?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I don't think it's the juice as I've tried other vendors besides V4L and in all cases I've been assured by the vendors that the bottled juice and the juice in the carts is identical. That information was gotten from the manufacturer.

That's why I was thinking the filling method was the reason. But if it's just someone sitting there with a syringe, then that's not it either.

That only leaves the carts themselves. So maybe, just maybe, there is some small difference in the blank carts when compared to the ones the factory fills. I know, that sounds dumb. But I also know this difference is not in my head.....filling a blank cart does not produce the same flavor as the factory filled.

I'm just curious what causes this as I would like to be able to capture the factory taste. Thanks again all.

I get the same taste from a factoryfilled as I do from one of my refills... At least on all the flavors I've tried refilling that I had an original cart for.

Is this on all flavors you've tried?

the amount of factors that could play a role in the difference is endless. you could even go as far to say that it COULD be from the changes in temperature in transit. maybe the extra exposure to oxygen when filling is causing it. either way, i dont know the answer but am puzzled by the problem (which i notice)

Maybe you hit on something here in a round-about way and something I never thought about before. When the factory fills them, I'm sure the juice is fresh, most likely JUST produced.

The bottled juice is, well bottled. Boxed, shipped overseas, then unboxed. Sits on a shelf, gets boxed again when we order and shipped yet again. Exposed to light, temperature variances, light and more light, etc etc. Maybe you get the gold star!
