Hey!
I bought an istick 50W a few days ago, and when I opened it up it had some SERIOUS button rattle. I brought it to the smoke shop and swapped it out, this one didn't have button rattle, but it had a loud ticking sound that came from the battery whenever the device was on. Weirdly, it didn't tick when it was being fired. I brought it back and swapped one more time. This one has almost no button rattle, but the ticking sound is there there, except very faint (you can only hear it if you hold it up to your ear while the device is on and the display is lit up (I.e. It is not in sleep mode or off). Does anyone else have an istick 50W? If so, take a listen, does yours tick faintly?

I had something really strange happen with mine just yesterday..
I've probably had mine for about 6 months and it's worked great..

But yesterday i had it sitting on my desk for about an hour and had not touched it..
It freaking fired on it's own..lol

Has anyone had this happen? I'm wondering if maybe juice is leaking inside it or something..

It is a commonly reported problem with the Istick 50. Remove your tank when not using mod and attempt to get it replaced thru warranty.
As to the cause? Nobody really knows or if they do they are not talking. I suspect juice in the works corroding things or something. But that is just my theory.

At this point I think it would be wise to be very suspect of ANYTHING an iStick50 did. And yes that autofiring thing is an epidemic with iStick50's; you need to try and get it replaced, because it's a disaster looking for a place to happen.
