Does anybody know if using the usb charger on the device can possibly damage the internals from heating up while charging? @gpjoe Do you charge your batteries from the device, you said both of yours tick maybe we can figure out what causes this.

No - I always use an external charger for all of my batteries.

As for both - I meant my (one) and your (one) = both.

Again - not offering any advice, but sometimes electronic devices make noise. I had a PWM BJ Box Mod that used to whine when it fired. The pitch of the whine increased as you increased the output voltage. Perfectly normal.

Not saying it's the same, and certainly not saying the "ticking" is OK - but electronic noise happens.

If Vaporesso says it's dangerous - I might listen, but the reseller saying it's dangerous might be an err on the side of caution for liability reasons.

i'm just impatient with shipping even worse i'll have to wait for it to get there and back..
A year from now, those two weeks will be long forgotten, but the ticking would still bother you...

...that's what I thought when I sent a mech mod back to FT for a minor issue, only to get a very disappointing replacement from a different batch. When I noted the differences, they sent me a third one at no charge, which turned out to be identical to the second. However that's coming from an anonymous clone factory through a hit-or-miss Chinese retailer, I imagine with a name-brand device from a US vendor you wouldn't have the same issue.

Hello, recently I have purchased the Vaporesso Revenger kit and I am concerned there may be something wrong with it. When I listen closely it makes a faint ticking noise about every second, its not too loud but when its quiet and its up to my face I can hear it. When I hit the fire button it does not make this ticking noise, When i loosen the tank so it has a loose connection to the base so the ohms changes it rapidly ticks about 4 times then continues to do that tick about every second. I would appreciate any kind of help so i know to return this or not, and possibly help others wondering about this as well.
Welcome and glad you joined.
Hope it's still under warranty.

to me its a no brainer shop said return for warranty replacement so I would that way if something happens down the road and you didn't replace it they can say it was because of the tick you ignored
I agree. And it's Mt. Baker, one of the most trustworthy vendors in the business.
