While hunting for a multimeter. I stumbled upon the only shop selling a 18500. Sadly the bloody crap won't even fire.
The fake one is on the left, interestingly my new multimeter read it at 4 volt. But why won't it fire? Any ideas guys?

If you went to the same shop as I found on the second floor though, they have great IMR 18350s from their own company!
I dun usually trust those xxx-fire batteries, no matter what their name might say. Though non-firing batteries (but showing good voltage in multimeter) usually boils down to two reasons: contact and cut-off (if protected).
First check your atty/mod to see if there's any short-circuit (it will trigger cut-off in prot batt), then check to see the battery is well connected to all points, no rattling and throw is correct. You could also pop it in another mod with another atty to test... or just throw the battery at the vendor then buy some aw batteries. Those rock.

I striped the wrapper and removed the PCB and it still does not fire!!
My other batt fires with no problem in my nemesis, strange.
i'm cool about wasting the 10 bucks, just can't wrap my head around why it does not fire.
I think I got them for about $8 each, which is a STEAL considering they're IMRs. They're pretty consistent for what they're worth. 18350 batteries don't have much of a battery life though, but it does make your entire mod so much smaller and nicer to hold in the hand. Don't go below 0.8 ohms for those though, that's the safe resistance.
That's strange and frankly i'm puzzled too. Anyway, hope you're not popping them into mechs any more after you strip them, it's not exactly safe.
Suggest just grab the AW IMRs or other well-known batts, a couple bucks more but more reliable.

Personally, I would never want to buy any Trustfire batteries again. or any China made battery for our vaping.
Go for the better one like AW battery

I believe Hell is talking about SIM LIM SQUARE not Tower. When you come up by the escalator, just walk straight to the back alley. You will see some makan shops on your right.
They sells all kind of batteries and chargers. From computers to hp, but mostly in-house brand. Not bad, i would say. Got a double batt charger for $16, can charge 16350, 18350 to 18650. USB 18650 batt charger for $8.
But if you wan a better brand batteries, heads to SIM LIM TOWER (Not square) basement. The shop name is something with soldering and electronic. They have all kind of 18650, pansonic, sony etc...

Last i check with that shop located at Sim Lim Tower basement, they dont have Sony VTC4/5...Dont have AW as well..

I've purchased over 20 batteries from fstop lights. They deliver very fast for items in stock and is a very good source for AW batteries.
