congrats on the switch. I went through all that early this year and now I only use box mod. Reo's mods to be exact. A lot less filling bottles and running batteries out. something to consider if you think you will continue :vapor:

Do you have a website that I could look at to get more information on this? Sounds interesting, but being a newbie to it all... "box mods" are a little above my head. I'm not familiar with that at all.

Indeed, there is. Welcome to it! :)

Try the "search ECF with Google" box in the upper right hand corner of your page to search for particular topics. Or you could just start a thread with your questions. This place is a great resource with a lot of helpful folks. Best of luck!

I've successfully gone from a pack a day to only 3 cigarettes a day. Next week we are going to try to step it down to only 2 a day. It hasn't been easy, but I will say this... if someone told me today that I had to make a choice which one to stop completely right now (real cigarettes or vaping), I would definitely give up the real smokes. It would be hard because I have been a smoker for 17 years, but I really do enjoy vaping so much more. Having only recently gone to e-cigs (the eGo 900 with various juices is what we use) I was a little confused about a lot of things. I have to say... this site has really shone the light on a lot of things for me and I appreciate it very much.

Sounds very similar to my story. I was a pad (sometimes a little more) smoker for 17 years. I knew I should quit but had never really made an attempt. One night at a party I ran into a friend of mine (hadn't seen him in awhile) who had quit with e-cigs. After using one of his that night with no urge whatsoever to light one up, I was sold. Just like you, I went from a pad to 3-4 cigarettes on day one. This continued for about 2 weeks until one day I was just feeling lazy and didn't wanna go out and buy a pack. I made it through that day and got over the psychological impact of not having a pack on me (or near me), and that was it.

Personally, I'm starting to enjoy the tast of real cigarettes less and less. And... I'm finding that after I smoke a real one that I'm immediately reaching for my eGo in order to get the thing I'm really craving. Makes me wonder why I'm still using the real things at all. But you are right... it's a psychological thing that you just have to get over. I've been a smoker for so many years that it's just a mental & emotional habit on top of a physical one.

I've also found this to be the case.
