If you exceed the current limit you will but since the Provari is a VV you can control that. The voltage range fora 1.5 ohm will be between 3 and 4 volts. I get E1s when I go with too high a voltage. The controller thinks there is a short. You also have to worry about the E2 error if you exceed the current limit.

Short answer yes....more complicated answer, if your juice falls in the preference range reported by a lot of people youre looking at best flavor at 3.5 volts give or take a few either way...you'd need a .9 ohm carto or lower to really worry about one not working correctly on a V2 Provari...unless you like warm vapes in which case higher resistance is better.

are they flanged or non flanged cartos. pre-punched? and how many holes are punched? i haven't had good experiences w/ smoktech flanged pre-punched cartos... The dual coil cartos i use are from healthcabin.net (healthcabin branded) and i've NEVER had a bad one.
if they're prepunched, you could try to open the holes a bit and see if that helps. if it gave you dry burnt hits from the get-go, it's probably a junk carto.

I just ordered one to go on my eGo Twist 1000 mAh. I hope it works, it should. BTW, I also ordered single coil 2.0 Ω carto's.

They are the flanged pre-punched cartos. I'll try punching it more to see if that helps. But so far it's been nothing but nasty!

If it's 1.5ohms and you're running it at 4.5volts.. it's gonna be burnt and nasty. It's pretty much ruined now. If I were using a 1.5 carto.. I wouldn't go over 3.5v.. but's that's me.

I use 2.0 ohm single coil smoktech cartos with my dct tank on my lavatube and twist and they make that crackling sound. I never vape over 5 volts. And I know what you're talking about as far as "hearing it crackle" goes.

But one unrelated question: anyone else get little tiny electric shocks from their drip tips when using a Vision ViVi Nova? Every once in a while I'll feel a tiny shock from my Nova. I know it's electric (boogy oogy woogy woogy lol), because I've been shocked before (arcade game, electric fence, static discharges, etc). Why and how come?
