Is.it a v2 SVD?..

Mine is similar but has a clear led fire button and says it only goes down to 3.3v when mine goes to 3v which I doubt I will ever go that low. Other than that they are the same.

I know the short tube works with a 18650 but looks kinda odd compared to putting the big tube on for the bigger batteries. As for the black button it would work but I like seeing what color mine lights up indicating the battery level.

In short mode with a 18350 the small tube looks good, but with a 18650 I prefer the bigger tube for looks. Its personal preference and for the price at FT I would buy one. Really solid device but is longer than most others, its my all day home device and like the size for that use. I have a k100 ordered which will be my out device along with my twists.

What batteries would you recommend for the SVD? I am looking at the deal on FT and thought I would throw some batts in the order? The have a 2 pack of the Panasonic CGR18650CH (grey color) and another 2 pack of the Panasonic NCR18650B (green color). They also have a 2 pack of the Ultrafire 18350. Thoughts?

Appreciate the feedback/opinions.

Get the NCR18650PD's. Never buy Ultrafire. :)
