Fasttech CE4 clearomizers

I bought a bunch of CE4 clearomizers from fasttech and I'm getting a burnt taste from them. It's especially bad with 100% vg liquid so I'm thinking it's a wicking problem.

I tried letting them rest overnight which helped a bit, also tried using low watts (6W).

Anyone have any tips on getting these to perform better?

I have a Ce5 or 4 clearomizer and I use a V3 Spinner, i vape at about (3.3v-3.6v) you're voltage is probably too high, how many Ohms is your atomizer ?

My first 2 clearos were CE4s. Hated them, straight in the trash

I bought 10 CE4s and 10 EVODS from fasttech... They are complete garbage. Mine are the same way, a ....ty taste, like they dont work. Ill probably throw the CE4s away, but Ive been buying replacement kanger evod heads for the evods and using the tanks. Waste of money. I should of listened to the people on this forum and cancel my order but I didnt. That was my first fasttech order

I bought a multi-pack of CE4s from Fasttech last month; they were pretty inconsistent and didn't play nice with 70/30 juice.

anyone try modifying them? like cutting bigger holes around the wicks or something?

Add a few drops of Distilled water to your E-liquids and shake well. This will thin the juice for flow and Water simplifies wicking.

2.2ohms, vaping at 3.3V ... better than higher voltage, but still not great...

I buy and use CE4's from many sites and BM shops...I have never noticed any difference in the CE4s from Fasttech...never had any burned taste or a leak in one either, or any problem with any CE4.....they work exactly the same as from any other site..and I use many diff liquids, but mostly all 65/35, 80/20, or 50/50

Maybe you just vape slower than the OP (and myself as well). I'll get the slow wick, nasty taste on the occasional CE4. What I do is pull out the silicon plug and use a little pair of scissors to put a slit in it so more liquid can wick. Sometimes on a particularly stubborn one, I'll have to put 3 or 4 little slits in it before it wicks properly. Of course, there's a downside - if you make too much of a slit it'll overwick and leak down to the battery and since you can't undo the slits, you're stuck either cleaning the battery connection off with a paper towel every now and then or tossing the clearo.
