Has anyone tried one of these? Description says glass and SS, but gotsmok says the word is that it's plastic and plated. So I decided to skip it. But then today the hybrid gets announced and this is claiming glass and aluminum and its basically the same atty. I wonder what the real deal is..

I picked up the hybrid from a local brick and morter shop. Its aluminum and glass. So I can only imagine the tank would be the same.

for the silver one they are discussing the materials in the comments section and the staff said the silver one is SS pyrex, there are no comments on the others.
if it really is ss/pyrex im down for one.

right on. i checked out that discussion area and it does look like its glass. the metal material is plated, but underneath is perhaps some type of steel. i went ahead and posted some things that could help clarify. its still a bit uncertain, but im leaning towards buying it. should look prettay awesome on my 'vela clone, which looks identical to the silver "hybrid". i use quotes because the silver is listed right with the actual hybrids (the blue and the purple one), but the silver uses a 510 connection.
