Fasttech Sucks.

I am pretty frustrated with this company. I bought an iTaste SVD, 2 18350's, and a charger. This was a bit over a month ago. I understand they have had issues with shipping batteries. I patiently waited for them to figure it out, till the month mark hit. I feel like they should have let me know before I purchased the batteries, that there was a possibility of my package being stopped, in turn making my package arrive much, much later than they told me it would. I have sent them numerous emails, in a kind tone explaining my frustration. I seem to always receive the same response that is in broken english that is very hard to understand. Recently, I sent them this:

Is there any possibility you can send out a new order with just the itaste svd and the charger and refund my money for the batteries before the original package is returned to you? I understand you are waiting for them to be returned to you, but this wait is starting to become a little ridiculous. I would like a new order to be sent out, with a new tracking number, that won't be stopped, while you guys wait for the package to be returned. It is your responsibility to inform a customer of these things, and not blind side them by not informing them of the possibility of a waiting period four times longer then what I was told. That is why I think it is your duty to wait for the package, not the customer. Please let me know if you can send me a new package with the svd and charger, so I don't have to wait any longer and can continue to shop on your website. I have referred fasttech to over five people, I feel stupid and uninformed that I recommended fast tech after this shipping issue. I apologize for the harsh tone, but it's disappointing to see such a great site, and have such a terrible experience being a customer.

thanks,

yet again, they responded with a message that was meaningless and impossible to understand. I thought about it for a few days and decided to send them this in response:

I don't think you understood my email. As you are currently in possession of my money, I would like a new order placed as soon as possible, consisting of the iTaste SVD and Charger. I would like the money for the batteries i ordered refunded promptly. I am tired of taking up what I believe to be your responsibility of waiting. I would like a response from some one who is proficient in english, and can give me a response that is easy for me to understand. I have not relieved my package in over a month. I am starting to become skeptical that your company is trying to steal from me. This is not a form of business that I will tolerate. Please, send me another package as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Don't get me wrong, I kind of feel like I was too aggressive, and kind of an a$$hole. Am I going about this the right way? What are your experiences with this company in similar situations? I am becoming skeptical that this is a ploy to cover up a lack of inventory. A friend of mine bought some electronic components from them consisting of some Lithium batteries, which didn't get stopped and were shipped with no issues. Honestly, I was stoked to get my new (and first)mod, and it really sucks to have to deal with this.

Haven't ordered from Fasttech but there are a bunch of threads here on it as I'm sure you know.

Have you ever ordered anything from a company outside of the US? Shipping can take some time. I had an order come in last week from California to Canada that was shipped 5 weeks ago. Yes, a lot does go through sooner, but not always.

I haven't ordered since the shipping snafu started.
But I did notice a big, sticky warning and explanation about the problem, and what they were doing about it, on their website.
You didn't post their reply, so I can't tell what they're telling you...most people have indicated that their customer service is pretty darned good - but again, a lot of that feedback was pre-postal-problems...

Hopefully, you've submitted your complaint as an official "ticket" with them, and I hope it gets resolved now...
Your request seems pretty reasonable, if you package was blocked and returned to them.

Its not fasttech its the postal service in china that's the issue. Also about a month ago was when this all started and they probably didn't know about the issue when you ordered since I am currently in the same situation your are for one of my orders.

If its been shipped thru hk post they have a million or so packages to xray which includes batteries and non batteries. Packages shipped within the past week or so is being pushed thru since the backlog is too big to add more packages to.

Yeah, you get the service you pay for. Whining about slow shipping from FT is like neglecting to bring an umbrella with you to Seattle, because the travel brochure neglected to mention that it rains almost every day. Sure, they could have been a little more up-front about it, but it's common knowledge. If your order were lost, they would do anything to help you out, but you were just complaining to a company in China that the dictatorship they live under delayed your order. Excuse me if this sounds a little cold, but boo freakin' hoo...

+1
your trying to blame fasttech for a problem they have nothing to do with. chances are your package is just sitting in the postal inspection facility.

i know it doesnt help put you have to think about how many places in china ship overseas every day, and how big of a backlog there must be to scan all these packages.

as much as i like fasttech and a couple other china direct dealers, i dont think i would order anything from over there right now.

even our US postal service is now inspecting packages for proper battery packaging, i sell stuff in the classies here and every time now they specifically ask if there is li batteries in the box.

Hey Bouvmeister ,
Know this will not help, but with the recent Govt Furlough, the US Customs is way f....ing backlogged. Plus the Chinese "Universal Translator" does not always appear to be the same on the other end. Have not had any issues with FT, but my local B&M shop is fighting with them and the US customs the past couple of weeks......

Sorry about your delay. Hopefully, it will get to you soon. I always check their site to get any updates to my shipping. So far I've been happy with FastTech. Before I ordered from them I searched this forum to gain as much information as I could due to my lack of knowledge of the company. Fortunately I have the time to do a lot of research, which some people can't. I learned that I might save some money, but could have a very long wait if I decided to order from them. Both were true. I have received several orders from them, my latest and quickest took 7 days, although others have taken considerably longer. It was an SVD & coil heads, but with no batteries or liquids. I also order from various US based vendors (finally scored an Ohm meter from Madvapes and got it today), and some are quicker than others, but then I'm not dealing with Customs and international shipping. I would not hesitate to order from Fast Tech again, just wouldn't order anything that I needed right away.

Don't bother getting batteries from FastTech. Not only the shipping issue their end, but also the amount of fakes from China increase the chance of getting duds anyway They make it a huge hassle when you get faulty ones as well, making you post them back before issuing credit anyway. I learned the hard way.

Buy things without batteries if you want to wait 4 weeks or more by all means, but don't bother getting any batteries from FastTech.
Health Cabin is OK, they normally refund or send out replacements if there's a problem without you posting the batteries back, and don't have so many fakes, but their prices aren't much less, if at all, than good local shops anyway.

I've never had horrible experience with them, but it can take awhile. A friend of mine ordered something right when the HK post slowdown happened (9/5 I think) and he just got his package last week, and he didn't order batteries. The lesson is, don't order anything from overseas that you NEED right away.

Another thing, always pay attention to the "ships in" time frame near the Buy button, if it says 10-12 business days, that means it will be at least two weeks before it even leaves their facility, then it goes through the snail mail.

for what its worth, if it ever gets back to how it was pre-mid august, orders from clicking buy would take literally less than 10 days to get to my doorstep using the free or ~$1 USPS option. // the quickest was 7 days from order to doorstep... ive had orders that took that long from florida to my doorstep in virginia.

had like 3 orders that got did the month long fiasco.

now an order placed on the 9th should be here either monday or tuesday. so like 12-13 days or so.

if you follow the big fasttech thread at all you will see the same pattern.

My orders typically take 8 days from FT. When the whole customs ordeal began and my orders were in limbo that 8 days turned into about 17.
My order placed 2 days ago is currently being processed at Hong Kong Post. Have to wait and see just how long this one takes.

I'm used to ordering stuff from China on a fairly regular basis. E-Cig and no E-Cig related merchandise. FT is probably one of the faster shipping of the bunch and its free so the occasional delay that is beyond there control, soloing as I receive my packages I can cope.

Ditto!! FastTech is great, but the Postal Service isn't!

I look at it this way:

I get my stuff from US vendors in three days with ground shipping. Usually I'm ordering enough (and "enough" means $50.00 in most cases) that shipping is free anyway.

For all the smack people talk about how everything but FT is a total ripoff man, their price on a Kamry K100 is $20.00 and change. I just got one from Mt. Baker. MBV price? $24.99 After the standard ECF discount was applied the price was $22.49. Oh - I got it during the Columbus Day promo and the discount code brought it down to only $21.26.

Sure it cost me ohhh - about 56 cents more. And I guess some people would still consider that a total ripoff. Did I mention I got it in three days? With free shipping?

Now take the amount of money you "saved" ordering from FT, divide it by the number of days it's taking for your stuff to actually get here, and decide if it's still the best thing going, on a per diem basis.

And why do I see more and more threads from people who placed $100,00 FT orders, and placed a $100.00 order with a USA vendor anyway, because they couldn't wait any longer? How exactly is that cost effective?
