Pineapple seems to be a very good flavour even when mixed, I like Decoded Atlantis which is Blueberry, Pineapple and Guava
Not much of a fan for just fruit ones, but that kind of mix sounds rather good ...as does the Pixlated one with grapefruit in it!

I'm thinking of doing my mixing into straight VG,my nic is VG based.
So,two questions.
1.If i mix using a pg based concentrate @ 20% will i end up with 20/80
2.How much nic do i add to 1ltr of VG to have a 6mg base.
What strength is your by nic

It's the stuff we both got from that place that shut[emoji23]can't remember the name of it now:blush: but it's 72
Can't do it exact but roughly 88 to 90 ml it is easier to work out if you know how much you want to make rather than adding to 1 ltr

OK Bob to make it more straight forward. If i mix 80ml of vg and 20 ml of a pg based concentrate how much nic should i add to make a 6mg juice(i've got 120ml bottles want to know if it will fit in) will it be approx a 20/80 finished juice.

Even more straight forward - to make 120ml you need 10ml Nic, 86ml VG and 24ml of flavouring to get the 20/80 pg/vg

Would it work the same if we made 500ml of our chosen nicotine strength base liquid, and then just added flavouring in the right quantities/ratio per bottle size required (such as a 100ml finished bottle)?

Ah! that's better, got to keep it simple for me:)
I prefer it simple - too many percentages and ratios and I get fuddled by it all
I must admit, I don't worry about the PG content nor the nicotine too much as long as it's in the right ballpark. I only know I can't use much more than around 30% PG, yet the MCV made up at 35% flavouring is probably the best I've used since 2014 in terms of affecting my breathing.

I think you'll like Mexican Fried Ice Cream ...I'm using a bottle of the ready steeped Pot Shot version with an 18mg nicotine shot - lovely! Now I won't have to wait weeks for the DIY concentrate mix to steep ;)

Will do, might be a while though :)
That's OK ...I don't mind waiting :)

Making up a base of say PG and/or VG plus Nic you will almost always fail to create the correct ratio and/or Nic strength by adding the flavouring(s) at a later time
A) because of the make up of the flavouring(s) which are nearly always PG
B) because diluting the base mixture by the flavouring(s)
depending on the amount the differences 20/80 could end up as 25/75 and 6mg could end up as 5mg, that is why I always maintain that the complete process be done at the same time - using either ejuicemeup program or one of the online calculators, that way you get the correct percentages for each item.

I've been made lazy by the VG base with VG nicotine at a ready to use 3mg. All I do is add the percentage of flavour, shake it a few times and let it stand for a week or two.
So far, I've never felt there's any problem with ratios or strength.
This is the Todd calculator result for just a VG nicotine base of 3mg:

It looks OK to me - is it not a good way to make the base liquid?

I think I have been spoiled by JC Strawberry Bliss as it is high vg so loads of vapour but also high nic. Gonna have to see if I can mix my own as it is definitely the best juice.
Glad you found something you like that much - there's plenty of help for DIY - both here and the DIY section.
May be an idea to start with getting some nicotine and dividing it into 50ml glass bottles to keep most in the freezer, and one in use.

It's okay for making up a base liquid but it will get altered when you add the flavouring(s), say the flavours add up to 20% would you add 20ml or 24ml, also by adding that amount to 100ml base, you would end up with 100/120 (or 124)*3 mg of Nic which could be 2.5mg or 2.42mg both of which are less than 3mg

I'd probably use it in the same way I do when making MCV - 35-36% flavouring and the remainder in 3mg base liquid. Has always tasted just the same as the ready made we used to buy. I know the nicotine would be a bit lower in this, but it doesn't seem to bother me.

I could also make it this way when finally having to use my stored nicotine:

Are those ways of doing it OK? (and in a similar manner for any using smaller percentages of flavour)

It is the proper way of doing it, if you notice you only used 61ml of VG instead of the 96ml when making the base up first
But surely, when making that same bottle up in 100ml, I'd only use 65ml of the 3mg VG base? (the other being 61mg plain VG and 4ml VG nicotine) ....what am I missing?
