Oh yes - they are considerably cheaper - Thanks!Wait until Friday and go to Fogstar, they normally have good deals on batteries, Samsung 25R are probably the best 18650s at the moment
Sheesh!
This'll do ?41mm can't think of anything to put it on![]()
They're even cheaper sometimes - they do specials on Friday (might have to sign up to get the code)Thanks! Why Friday?
Only if you have kept them charged - I still have batteries that are over 2 years old that I use, although I have had to get rid of a few recently because they are not holding their charge for very long.I do have two spare unused ones that will be around two years old - are they safe to start using?
The new unused ones haven't been charged at all - still in the boxes they came in ....do I use them or discard them?Only if you have kept them charged - I still have batteries that are over 2 years old that I use, although I have had to get rid of a few recently because they are not holding their charge for very long.
Do you have a proper battery charger, if so then as long as they charge then they should be okay.
You got one!
I waited for a reaction![]()
Put them in the charger, if they start charging, then they should be okay, but if they are dead then they won't even start charging, and should be disposed of in the correct manner (some supermarkets have battery bins)The new unused ones haven't been charged at all - still in the boxes they came in ....do I use them or discard them?
My charger is the Nitecore D2 that you linked to some time ago.
Thanks. I find I have 6 of the 18650 on the cupboard shelf, so have discarded the two I was using most, and put two in the charger ...charged faster than the two I discarded!Put them in the charger, if they start charging, then they should be okay, but if they are dead then they won't even start charging, and should be disposed of in the correct manner (some supermarkets have battery bins)
If you keep spares in future, every month or two charge them to at least 40% (3.6v) just to keep them fresh, once voltage drops below 3.2v they die, fully charged they should read about 4.1v
As the Sig did it with a new battery, I would suspect the mod, I have a couple that I have to turn off after use now for the same problemThe two I charged successfully, ran flat within a day used in the Sigelei mini ...I have a feeling the Sigelei itself was draining them rapidly, because one of my brand new ones also drained fast too - does that sound a possibility?
I'm now using one of the same batteries, re-charged, and in a new Sigelei (Remember I said I had a spare? ...well I actually found that I had two silver & two black spares!!). Remains to be seen if it's still got some charge left by tomorrow morning.
Much as I like the red one, I think it's time to bin it - display is blurred, and now it seems to be draining batteries rapidly. As the Sig did it with a new battery, I would suspect the mod, I have a couple that I have to turn off after use now for the same problem
You can always get another one [emoji1]Much as I like the red one, I think it's time to bin it - display is blurred, and now it seems to be draining batteries rapidly.
Not like I don't have a spare! Just not the red one.
I see I do have a red Sigelei Book in my 'spares' box though![]()

That's what mine are, and I've started charging them again because I think they're probably OK, and it was the old Sigelei draining them fast. With luck they'll be like yours and still be OKI'm still using 8 Samsung 25R batteries that I got a few years ago. No sign of them losing charge yet - great batteries!
Thanks George, i`ll take a look later@terry w
Bellus v2, is a very nice tank,i picked one up in a GB flash sale.
Much more air than the original, but that is fully adjustable, from dtl to mtl.
Velocity deck and much easier to wick.
It's 25mm,which is why i bought it.
Only con,i can see,the threads on the bottom plate(that hold the deck in) are a bit crunchy, hoping they may wear a little smoother with use.
