Also while I remember, has anyone else here tried T juice Red Astaire? I've been vaping it (made from concentrate) all week at home on my veritas and it's so good I've hardly vaped any other juice while I've been at home. Just like hawk sauce the mentholness isn't too strong and it's more eucalyptusy and complex than straight up menthol, and the berry flavour is a nice mix, I keep wanting to describe the flavour as "deep" if that makes sense.
Chefs had mentioned at AAEC that when they got new stock from MBV, they'd do some small bottles of ready to use Hawk & F Hawk in High VG for people to try. Last week, I happened to see those two available on their site, so ordered a bottle of each in 6mg. When I looked again, they'd gone! But, my order did turn up along with a bottle of Red Astaire concentrate I'd ordered.
I like the smell of them all, and have tasted a drop of each. Very promising, and yes, Red Astaire does have a rich, 'deep' flavour! I must make a bottle of it!

I'm just waiting for my tank of Menthol Cream to finish and will re-fill with one of the Hawk ones! :)

I'm still unsure, don't like the sleep thingy, as it takes quite a while, when you press fire it wakes up and displays "Hello!" then "KX-40D" then the main display showing the wattage, temperature but only dashes for the ohms, press fire again and it asks "new up or same down" so have to press up button - all this before you can vape, at some point yesterday it did actually remember what the ohms was so you only had to wait for the main display to come up. It may be because my build is below 0.1 so may try another later and get it above 0.1, good job I'm testing it with a dripper

There is also the difference in the sleep timings, others on AAEC who got theirs direct from Kangxin are saying that theirs go to sleep after 10 minutes but mine is only 1 minute as per what it says in the leaflet that came with it

Well i am chuffed you got it sorted out Bob, even though it sounds like there are some minor niggles with it. Would i be right in thinking that when you removed the batteries, then put them back in, the VF reset itself ?

I emailed the vape mesh company yesterday RE: Ni200 28 ga, and they haven`t even replied, so would you say for me to get some 29, or 27 Bob ?

EDIT: Batteries arrived from ecolux this AM, now that was quick :)

Oh s***

Presumably you watched the whole video, what did you think of the clone - worth getting ? - certainly looks nice

Yeah I did, seemed like a decent quality clone. The clone is made of SS instead of titanium (original) but otherwise looked like a solid piece.

I like the way it looks (for a big box) but it also doesn't have great battery life apparently as it uses lipos.

Nice novelty if you want to try vaping at over 150W I guess, but I don't fancy it.

Re Flask:
Just out of interest Bob,have you tried it with a Kanthal build TC off?
Only out of interest incase it's no good otherwise.

With a Kanthal build you still get "Hello!" then "KX-40D" and the main screen with dashes for ohms (first time you will get asked "new up same down") then vape
when it comes out of sleep afterwards you get everything except the "new up same down bit.

You don't have to turn TC off for Kanthal the mod will recognise it as Kanthal and show voltage instead of Temp

I would say that is exactly what the VF did  as for the wire 29g is 0.02mm thinner and 27g is 0.03mm thicker - your choice really on which you prefer, I'm using 29g at the moment.

Yeh, I liked the look of it that's why I asked not bothered about the wattage (good for headroom only) but if the battery isn't good, then I won't bother :)

I don't know about lipo batteries though so I'm just going on what the reviewer said he got out of the ones he used. He might be using low capacity ones? Dunno.

Just checked the progress of my FT order and got 2 items now restocking. uh oh!

Yet another update on the VF
Due to one of my KFs blowing a Kanthal coil, thought I would do a Ni200 build on it so 7/6 wraps 29g 3mm diameter and originally coming out at 0.14 ohms, let it cool down to room temperature then put it on the VF and ended up with 0.16 ohms and after the first couple of vapes I let it go to sleep and am no longer getting the "new up same down" after bringing it out of sleep, it is now remembering the setting, so make sure your builds are not below 0.1 ohm which is what the minimum seems to be with the VF

This posted on AAEC is a good set of instructions for start up after building a new coil and is worth copying to your own notes:
The start up routine.
Leave the 510 screw a little high so you dont have to keep adjusting it.
Make sure the atty and mod have not been used for a while so they are at the same temperature.
Press the fire button with no atty on ( to get the same start-up for everyone)
Put the atty on, firm but not tight (nickel build)
Press the fire button.
It should ask "new or same coil"
Hit the up button for new coil.
Set the temperature to 420F.
Vape away ;)

Addition to that from me would be if using RDA set wattage to 25 and above but if using a KF type atty then set between 10 & 15 to start with

Did you notice on the label of your Goose juice Terry,it's come from France?Don't know if it;s made to recipe there or imported from the States. On Quacks website you can buy the concentrate. So you know how certain foriegn beers are brewed in the uk under licence, maybe they do that.

I checked the label before george, and there is no mention of france anywhere.

Thanks for these updates Bob, they are really helping me prepare for my VF :) I will order some 29 ga Ni200 later on !

I have saved the above for future reference.

Status of my VF, should be on a plane soon...View attachment 407955

Agreed. My view on Innokin is that they seem to be deliberately not going into higher wattages at a fast pace and so their devices will not appeal to all (inc me) BUT if 20W is enough for you then their products are really solid and good quality.

You thinking of getting one?

Strange mine are marked France.I think Cigatec, judging by a search, are originally a French company.
Did it come in 10mls bottles Terry?

30 ml bottle George ! All it has on the label apart from the pic, is the usual info about the nicotine etc. And regarding your other post about the postal service in china, i`m not too sure, but i can`t see it affecting flights, inc cargo.
