I'm not overly impressed at my first attempt at diy
Whether I need to increase the concentrate % due to the 100% VG or maybe add some PG or even leave them to steep a little longer, I think it may be a while yet before
I'm competing with the professionals
The juices are pleasant but no more than that and I was aiming for a subtle melding of exquisite olfactory delight which was at the same time windswept and groovy and interesting

Not aiming too high then. if I get "pleasent" when I start that will be a success.

Well they know what they can do with that !
Exactly!
I looked on the SB website, and it's not on there, so I don't know where it originated!

Coiled and wicked my 3rd subtank rba 1.6 ohms, filled with rips lemony lime, and i have to say it is rather pleasant :) Not acidic at all, like some of these type juices can be. Nice clean flavour too. I`ve got it on my ipv, set at 12 Watts, on one hole setting, and it`s a perfect vape :)
I was wondering if you'd tried any of those yet! I'm hoping the lime agrees with me! I think some flavouring brands do and some don't.
You may remember that I got some of the Mad Alchemist? I tried the Number 9 (berries) nice but mild flavour - Chem Trail pleasantly creamy sweet - Snow Whites Demise, apple pie ...extremely mildly flavoured - Fairy Dust Elixir, strawberry with hints of pear, apple & cream ..very nice! best of the four.

Just hope i don`t start growing a beard like rip`s
Just shave yer chops every day ..you'll be fine!

It is 60ml :) and a free Drip Tip :) but I don't think so either :(
Too much of a gimmick ...but there'll be people falling for it just like that stuff in it's own little wooden chest!

Not that particular one, but if mine ever breaks I will probably get an ASUS DSL-N66U: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories, they have good reviews
The amazon fulfilled one has 46 reviews, but it still only gets 2.5 stars.

We have a saying for when someone is being especially cheeky, we say "not only is he ...... through your letterbox, but he's then knocking on your door to ask how far it went", dont think I'll be getting wet feet
If anyone's interested I've got some "aged" bottles from when I started vaping about a year ago, I'm only asking 300 quid for the lot
Good luck with that

moi aussi, but I'll let them go for £100
Kind gesture, but.....

Just cancelled my order of subtanks with FT they've been put back again. So I've ordered a pair of genuine ones.
At least you'll get them! :)

When I see Karl at Chefs tell me about the ones that took 9 months to get just right, or over a year, then it becomes obvious that to produce something that a lot of people will repeat buy needs plenty of patience and experience.
I reckon the ready blended concentrates are probably the best bet.
I don't make many, but I always increase the recommended percentage to compensate for the VG.

Thats why i leave it for others to do Vinnie
I have a fair number of flavourings, but mostly I use them to increase the flavour of weaker ones or add something to the bland ones.

Sommat weird has started happening with my subtanks !!! The DT`s aren`t getting hot any more  This is after i ordered 4 pyrex ones last night  It`s strange though, i was having to run them with the AFC fully open to cool things down, now i am vaping them on the smallest setting !

Welcome to the world of DIY. I enjoy the process as much as the end result I think.

What flavours/percentages did you use? And how long have they steeped?

I've never made juices with just vg and flavourings but the more vg you use the more concentrate you need and (to a lesser extent) the longer it needs to steep.

Have you turned the wattage down terry? [emoji23]

I used UK Flavours all single fruits @ 20%, They've been steeping for a week

Thanks for the heads up Trish, I'd just got off the Chefs' site having ordered RA concentrate
They've certainly got a lot of new flavourings/concentrates in stock!
When I made Red Astaire, I used 20% in 100% VG base and thought it would have suited me better with 21 or 22% because I like plenty of flavour. I've since added a few drops of Blackcurrant and also Red Jelly, and like it better - in fact, I'd like to be able to get it without the menthol!

If I remember correctly, the new Welsh Custard will be in 15ml glass bottles, and be 70VG/30PG - first of the new Chefs Silver Label range ...don't know what else they plan on making for the range though.

I`m madly in love with my tanks bob. Call it a love hate relationship
Nothing's perfect! :)

I like to think i am getting there Trish :) Took me over two years,a fair bit of money and patience spent, but getting there.
Yes, think it's a rite of passage ...well, that and the fact that things have been moving at a rapid pace in recent months with one thing after another coming onto the market!
Trouble is, you never know what will turn up next! For now though, I'm certainly happy with what I use.

From what I've read a lot of flavourists recommend 15% but most diyers use more for just about every juice that's interested me
I suppose it's partly down to taste variations, perhaps partly a sales ploy to make it look like it'll go further - I like plenty of positive flavour, and because the VG is not the best flavour carrier, I always add a bit! :)

No we don`t trish, but if i am truthful i don`t think anything much better than what i use will hit the market any time soon. I suppose with rebuildables there is only so much you can improve on. Mainly being air flow, after that it`s down to the builds follk put in them.:)

True - and for me, I'll never rebuild, so it's whichever is best with pre-made coils. So far, the MOW has outdone everything for not leaking, siphoning, gurgling and decent replacement coils - in both sizes too.
The mini Nautilus is OK, but it's fiddly at times and some of the coils have been horrid.
Earlyish days with it, but quite pleased with the Eleaf Air!
For the coil clogging liquids, the old Evod is pretty good still. Nautilus wasn't bad either (5-6 days with chocolate) but those nasty coils put me right off. I'll go back to them if I find the coils have gone back to being OK again.

As for mods/batteries, again, I'm very happy with what I use: iSticks of all sizes and iPOW mostly.

Hmm never used that brand so can't really comment, I'd leave them a week or two more and then try again. Keep them somewhere not too cold and air them occasionally. Some people steep juice with the lids off but I just take the lids off every few days and squeeze out the old air and give it a shake.

Here's 1 for the DIY juicers here. I haven't had time to check the price of others yet but this looks real good value. So thought I'd share straight away in case they sell out.
DarkStar Vapour - 500ml 7.2% (72mg) Nicotine (VG Base)
Let me know what you think.

Yes that is cheap. 100ml of 72mg makes me over 2 litres of juice at 3mg though so not sure I need that much!
