Good morning everyone!! Can you believe it? It's almost a new year!

Anywho i checked on my fasttech package this morning. Looks like the status has changed. Does this mean the office let my package slide?

Also on a side note, i did some research yesterday after i found out that the package was held at customs. I found out these facts about import duty :) Thought i might share. Not sure if it applies in the UK but i did the search solely for the purpose of importing into Malaysia.

Notes on duty & taxes rates and compliance
Electronic Cigarette is duty free and a has a VAT rate of 10% . Importation of medical products as well as electronic products that emit radiation are subject to examination by the national regulatory entity, such as the Ministry of Health or Food and Drug Administration. License requirements may apply. Duty rate for Electronic cigarette may be reduced as China-ASEAN free trade agreement applies. A certificate of origin may be required. Restrictions may apply for shipping this product with courier or postal companies [Some probability]. Packaging and labelling requirements apply to Lithium batteries whether they are contained in the equipment or sent separately from the device. Please, contact your courier for more information.

Notes on import taxes due
No duties because the total CIF does not exceed RM500.00

In my case my Cost of insurance and freight only costs RM251.78 which is under RM500. Why did they hold my items back in the first place -_- I swear to god, customs officers in Malaysia... really have nothing better to do but to extort money from people :(

You are lucky, VAT over here is 20% on anything above £15 about RM81.75 and duty at differing rates depending on the product (e-cigs 3.7%) on anything over £135 (RM735.75) but if the duty due is <= £9 (RM49.05) then it is not applied.

If your parcel contained an ecig with a LiPo battery inside then that may have caused the inspection, but it sounds like it is now on its way to your local delivery office.

Nowt posh about Rhos (especially where I lived on the Elwy Estate) although the Avenues at the end of Elwy Road were the worst part (police house was at that end of the road )

I have 4 x Sammy 25R they have been rated at 20A but should be okay up to about 22A the same as the Sammy 20R (I've only used one so far in the P3)

PAIRING
Only pair new batteries together and they must be kept paired together if using in pairs.

You can unpair them if you are using them in mods that only require a single battery but once unpaired then they must be used as singles.

I have my 18650 pairs in dual battery boxes and ones that I use single in quad battery boxes so that I know which is which.
all my 16340s are paired as they are only used in the Billet Box and I have one set of 18500 which I keep together for my Juno v2, and I just charge them and reuse them, the rest are all single battery mods

At the moment I only have my T8 that uses 2 x VTC5s and I have 2 pairs of them as the T8 cannot be USB charged.
I have 8 new KeepPower ones that can be paired for any new ones like the Sig that needs 2 batteries.

Thanks Bob.
Think i'll order a new pair of VTC4's and set them aside for use in that mod only.
I read somewhere Sony are back into production of the VTC5 but i don't know if that's right or not.Anyway at the moment they are not available so i don't have that option.

Today Rhos is quite an upmarket area with house prices being more than the surrounding areas,it seems a bit of a retirement belt.

A lot of Rhos was very upmarket, just not where I lived  I used to have a paper round, and delivered to Mr. Batchelor - you may have eaten some of his peas :)

Hey Trish I can't remember if you said before but did you ever get a reply from the chefs about whether they would be still able to do you max VG liquids?

I'm having a gander at their new site and those rocket sheep liquids are shown on the banner but I can't find them listed for sale on the site. Teething problems with the new site I expect.

I'm out of jungle juice concentrate so might get a few things from them soon. I'll also post my final thoughts on the last round of concentrates I bought from them a while back, taken a while as a few of them need ages to steep.

Yes, no problem for established customers using it thank goodness! They're also going to start making a few of them in Max VG too.

No, it's one of those 'coming soon' things.

I've got lots of concentrates and base liquid but tend to just add a few drops to a tank. There's a few that I do want to make into usable liquid though.
With the concentrates, I like that so little of the Rebranded Range needs to be added ...that alone can keep the PG way down for me.

What happens if I click 'cancel' on an item that has been further delayed?
I ordered a MOW tank and a mini iStick blue kit complete, and FT just informed me that they're sending the tank by itself as the iStick is still showing 7 days to stocking.

However, the mini iStick without the adapter and USB lead is in stock, so I've ordered that instead.

Is cancelling the first one as simple as clicking on 'cancel' - and do they refund the CC the order was placed with?

You'll get offered the choice of taking a certificate for the amount or refund, if you know you are going to order something else, it's sometimes easier to take the certificate and then use it on your next order, I think the refund always goes to the payment method, in my case paypal.

Thanks Bob - I've no doubt I'll at least order coils from them, so as this is only $24, think a certificate will be fine.

Something I don't understand - I see rebate amounts that are quite small (0.20c to 0.69c) all say 'pending' and some go back to August. I've never worked out how to use those.
I did have $2.70 lapsed in July too.

I think what it is trish, it`s because FT have a 45 day return warranty so they don`t issue the rebate points, till that time has lapsed ( in case you send any thing back ) within that 45 days. :)

In other news, they refunded my postage today £12.45 no quibbles, and say they will refund the cost of the Hana when they receive it back :)

Now ... I have finally nailed these Lemo`s  I have been following a thread over the pond regarding the best way to build them etc, and one thing i found out was that the little buggers Prefer low ohms and high watts ! I had built all mine @ 1.8, and they just weren`t delivering the way i like my tanks to.

Sooo, anyways, i re-coiled the first on with 9/8 wraps of 28 ga @ 2mm for 1.4, Test fired and tweaked, till i got it glowing nice, fitted a rayon wick, Fluffed the tail ends, and stuck them to the pos/neg block, leaving the juice channels clear.

Primed and test fired again, with great results :) Filled up with apple strudel, couple of dry pulls, onto an i stick @ 15 watts, and :rickroll: Bleeding fantastic vape ! I set the AFC to a nice tightish draw, and it really does blow everything i have ever used before away, for clouds and flavour

So i did three more at exactly the same way, and all four are really rocking now, i am one happy chappy right now :D

Here is the details of the rebate points, it's under your name|rebate points then click on "click to expand"
in order to convert them you have to wait until you get at least 10 points = $10 then just open a ticket asking for them to be converted and how much:

What are rebate points?

You can exchange for a $10 gift certificate for every 10 rebate points collected.

To use gift certificates, simply enter them during checkout, under payment options. Gift certificates are non-refundable but are otherwise good as cash.

Collecting Points

Rebate points representing 1% of your PayPal/Credit Card payments are automatically added to your account upon each payment. Participating in various promotional events and FastTech forum discussions will also gain you points on occasions.

Refunds

When PayPal payments are later refunded, rebate points are reduced accordingly.

Validity

As PayPal payments can be refunded within 60 days, your rebate points remains "pending" for the first 60 days they are issued. Pending points cannot be transferred or be redeemed for gift certificates.

- For points collected before 10/10/2014, Active rebate points expire annually, on the 10th day of October.
- For points collected on or after 10/10/2014, All rebate points expire 1-year after their collection date.

FastTech is implementing a new rolling expiry points system in late 2014 to get rid of current static expiry date for all points. Before this is done, as a special one-time offer for the year of 2014, all expired active points will convert into a gift card shortly after 10/10/2014.

Rounding

The minimum value for rebate points issued is 0.01. If your purchase is less than $0.50, rebate point rewarded becomes 0 after rounding.

Disclaimers

Rebate points is simply a points system. These points do not carry any monetary value themselves.
