I think most RDAs give better flavour than normal tanks (not sub-ohm), it's just a PITA keep dripping, that's why we need more regulated squonkers, that way you can have the best of both worlds, there is a new one out on the market with a Yihi SX350 board in it, but need to wait for the v2, because there have been a lot of complaints about the Big Logo on it.

Shame about it not sitting flush though.

Got it on my stingray x mechanical instead which works fine with the floating pin.

Think my favourite at the moment is the marquis on the istick 50, that device can take 15ish drops at a time without overflowing and gives me great flavour. Been using TFA Berry Crunch on it for a while now.

The numbers in the chart are arrived at by political accounting, your total was down to actual maths, if they can do that with such a small number on a chart just imagine what they can do with the economy, NHS and unemployment figures
It's government numeracy! Not taught in mainstream schools ;)

That really is interesting Bob.

We've been having the usual politicians knocking on the door recently, trying to drum up votes. Had one yesterday from one of the main parties, I'll let you guess which one ;) I asked him what he thought about article 20 of the TPD, he looked at me like I'd asked him how to turn lead into gold. I told him I'd be voting for the opposition
Lovely! Wonder if he remembered what you said and found out in case someone else asked!

I've got bigger elbows, so it's not a problem
Good ...'cos they're vicious! Think some of them are part time wrestlers! I have been known to peer over their shoulders, decide what's there isn't worth risking life & limb for, and beat a hasty retreat!

 Why thankyou
Ha-ha! :D

I got the LCCC too, it's in a Kayfun at the moment. I do like the difference between LCCC and Posset. I think if I add cream to the Posset now, it would end up being too close in flavour to LCCC. The slight tartness to Posset is lovely - is Lemon Sicily sweet or tart Trisha ??
Yes, both really good in their own ways, and not worth adding cream to the Posset.
Lemon Sicily? Well, it doesn't make you go 'Shllrrpp!' but it does have a positive true lemon taste ...doesn't spoil the flavour of either if I want a little extra lemon taste, so perhaps it's part of those two. I think you'd like it. Not acidic but not at all syrupy.

What a surprise, figures not adding up, you don't see that very often in Politics
That's because they don't show their workings out! They use the Government Issue top secret calculator!

Yeah I've seen people generally use 5-10% distilled water in higher VG mixes just to thin it out a bit for wicking, presume that's what you're interested in.

Some also reckon it improves the flavour but I've not really noticed a difference, it might just be that as it wicks better the wick is getting less dry. Having said that I haven't ever made juice higher than 70% VG.
I've been using some ready to use 6mg VG base and it already has a small percentage of water in it (Velvet Cloud & LT) I want to use the base & nicotine from chefs so will make a 100ml bottle - it's a thicker VG with no water in it so I'll add 5% and see how that works.

Can't find the Chefs mixing kit with the English Trifle as an option for selected concentrate. Is this not possible or am i looking in the wrong place?
It's not in the mixing kit as they don't sell it as a ready to use - it's in the concentrates: 'Chefs Choice'.

I copied/pasted off their FB page

Because it's 50/50 and will likely kill me, I ordered 12mg and will use my Devon Cream Flavouring made with zero nicotine! ...I may order some PA pomegranate delux flavouring from chefs! ...after I taste a bit neat

Mixing your own does give extra possibilities! ;)

Dived in to my mixing earlier, and made 10 ml of Lews Brew, English Trifle, Coffee Fresh, Jam Roly Poly, and finally Capellas Graham Cracker V2. I made them all 50/50 and at 12mg. After making the first 4 using chefs recommended percentages, i looked for the GC % and couldn`t find it anywhere, so i just went down the middle at 15%.

I was really surprised at how thick VG is, at first i tried drawing it from the bottle using a syringe/needle, bloody no chance  so i popped the needle off and did it that way. Like bloody wallpaper paste

Anyhoo, put them away to steep now, and will report as i try them !

It wouldn`t work because the code is UKTV25 trish, and not UKVT25

At least you got some in the end though :toast:

Yes, the VG is thick - hence me getting some distilled water to add to mine seeing I use 100%.
Good afternoon's work Terry! ...luckily, you didn't go far wrong with the Capella. I saved the percentages info when it used to be on their old site - it's not on there now (think they've perhaps forgotten to update it and put in on there) So here it is:

FLAVOUR CONCENTRATES

Flavour concentrate strengths vary depending on which company make them.

FlavorWest aka FW are known for having some weak concentrates, this doesn't make them a poor choice (FW Double apple tastes just like the real thing!) it's just you may find with some that you need a higher percentage say 20% and therefore it limits you to 1 or 2 flavourings per 10ml but, what I personally find to be a weak flavour, you may find it strong. Again, it's all down to personal taste.

FlavourArt aka FA and Decadent Vapours aka DV make some really strong concentrates and some you only need to use between 1% and 5%.

Most of the FA tobacco concentrates I would recommend starting at 2% because they are very strong and they really come alive after a 2 week steep (some can take longer!) Some of the more general flavours need much higher i.e. 10% or more.

Mom & Pops aka M&P make some great standalone flavours and are great mixed between 10% and 20% but this would be down to your personal taste. Again, these really do benefit from a decent steep i.e. 2-3 weeks.

T-Juice also make some great standalone flavour concentrates. They are a great beginners concentrate because you can get great results from only using one concentrate. Use anything from 5% to 25% depending on your taste.

The Perfumers Apprentice aka TPA or PA have some amazing concentrates but they all vary in strength. We have used PA from 1% up to 10% depending on the type of juice you're making.

Inawera, LorAnns and Tasty Puff are all extremely strong and I personally wouldn't go any higher than 5% but again it's totally down to personal taste

Capella is any DIY mixers staple. I think every DIY mixer will have at least one Capella concentrate in their mixing box. They can be hit and miss but overall they're a great product. Use anything between 5% and 20%.

One on One flavourings are new to us and we're still playing with them ourselves but from what we've found so far they can be quite strong so use anything between 5% and 15%

Here is a usage guideline for our selection of flavour concentrates...

FlavourArt - 1% to 10%
Their Tobacco concentrates are extremely strong.

Decadent Vapours - 1% to 15%

Mom & Pops - 10% to 20%

Perfumers Apprentice - 1% to 10%

Capella - 5% to 20%

One to One - 5% to 15%

Inawera - 1% to 5%

Tasty Puff - 1% to 5%

LorAnns - 1% - 5%

FlavorWest - 10% to 20%

Rebranded 1-5%

These percentages are only guidelines and not set in stone. Making your own juice is a personal experience so tweak them to your taste. If you're following a recipe you've found online and think you might find some of the flavourings a bit high or a bit low then change them. No one is right when it comes to percentages. It's down to you to decide whether you like Capella Vanilla Custard at 10% or 20% or whether you like more VG and less PG.

NB Bear in mind, these are from the old site, so if any percentages are on the new site for different brands, change the info to the new recommendation.
You'll also need to add the Chefs Choice at 10-20%. and the Rebranded Range is showing 3-5% on some individual flavour pages I think.

Get some Pure distilled water or even vodka and mix it with some VG 90/10 VG/water or vodka, helps thin it out and also helps with wicking.

That's odd then! I tried copying and pasting from Georges email twice and it wouldn't work, so I went looking, copied it from their FB page and tried that - it worked! https://www.facebook.com/theyorkshirevaper

Never mind - I got some 50/50 12mg ...totally wrong for me, but I'll 'tinker' around with it! ;)

You could be right! Can't say it registered that there were two boxes, but I think I did use the coupon code box ....wonder what the difference is! ...Oh, I know - the difference was me losing the bottle of 6mg in my basket!
I added a note that if they found some 6mg left over, to please change mine over.

Thanks Trisha, that will come in really handy :) I`ve saved it for future reference !
You're welcome - I almost posted it yesterday seeing a few more of you are trying the DIY route! :)
I have a fine Sharpie pen and mark those percentages on the labels when the concentrates arrive ..saves looking it up again.

That's good, have copied that to my Evernote file for future reference
:) Check the actual items on their site though - they do have them for some, and a couple have been slightly different to the list I saved. Whatever, won't kill us! ;)

BOFV for 20% @ Chefs today:)
You're earning your crust today George! Thank you :) I was just thinking about placing an order - now it'll be bigger! :thumb:
